Pros +
- SERVICE at all
- Location is great, very peaceful
- It's a nice, modern hotel with a spa in a quiet, remote area. The rooms are cozy but small. The staff is helpful, the breakfast selection is wide, and the Wi-Fi works well.
Cons -
- missing dinner "ÃÂÃÂ la carte"
- Staff were pretty miserable, reception staff never said good morning, hello, goodbye - not very friendly
- The pillows were too soft, there was no window for night ventilation (just a door to the garden), and there were no mosquito nets (a lot of mosquitoes!). There were also many black marks on the walls.

Enotel exceeded our expectations. The room was big enough, equipped with everything you need, comfy beds. The staff were lovely and very nice and professional. You get your room cleaned every day without a fee and if it is not needed, you can leave a sign card on the door. Breakfast was fenomenal! We didn't take dinners at hotel because 30€ buffet dinner per person was just too pricy for us. Location is quite into the woods, but for groceries and dinner we went to Machico. One other thing that we adored was Enotel TV entrace song, that is catchy!
A beautiful and quiet location on top of the mountains. We liked everything, from the varied breakfast, welcoming staff to the great facilities such as the pool, the sauna and the turkish bath. The stars of the location are the pecocks wandering around the green garden :)Next to the hotel, there is a beautiful park to enjoy and on Sunday the local market is open to buy goodies.

Nicely within green facilities. Big breakfast.
Location was off the beaten track. Horrible coffee. Spa amenities small for the amount of people
Location near the hikes, nice garden, nice views from some rooms (make sure that you are not in rooms above the rooftop of the outdoor area). Very convenient to get to from the airport as well.
I have mixed experience with the staff and the rooms. We were welcomed by a lady which was very reserved and put us in a room with a view on a rooftop (meaning we had zero view), even though I specifically asked her if the room had a nice view as I booked this hotel to look outside in the greenery. The second day I talked to another lady who was very nice and friendly and she moved us to another room (118) on the ground floor, which was much better, and had a view in the greenery, but there was a humidity smell and also a repetitive subtle background noise (probably from the AC). This noise was not unbearable but also not great.
Location, excellent food , people , garden,
Superb
Dining room a little too clinical and canteen-like. It needs some soft furnishings to make it more welcoming and cosy.
Wow, what a great hotel! Comfortable, clean, cozy, in the middle of nature. And those evenings at the swimming pool and sauna were excellent! The staff is very nice and kind ?
Easy processing, clean, breakfast alright
Just a feeling, a bit high in price for that time we went in December - nothing much exciting there, certainly great in Summer.
Sauna/pool/turkish bath
Location and the grounds. Front desk was very nice and helpful
The beds were very comfortable. Swimming pool and sauna were amazing. Liked the breakfast buffet. Max 15 minutes from the airport by car which is convenient.
We arrived late the first night, so decided to go for the dinner buffet. It was okay, but nothing more than that.
The staff was very friendly, the hotel was clean and the buffet had sufficient choice. We enjoyed the swimming pool and the Turkish steam bath. The hotel is located in the quiet hills and was a a great starting point to discover Madeira by car.
Everything was ok
It was like a paradise. Peacocks walking in a perfect lawn, hydrangeas everywhere, amazing staff. I was very happy there and I will definitely come back
Very welcoming, friendly and helpful staff.Robes & towels provided for the swimming pool.Good selection of food.Walking routes from the door.
Unfortunately we had to wait quite some time to be served at the bar - but understand that everywhere the world over is struggling with shortage of staff.
The whole place is designed for relaxation, both from the location and the amenities. On the latter point, the pool, steam sauna, and dry sauna were really nice and perfect way to relax after arriving. The breakfast was SUPERB (hashbrowns, eggs sunny side, eggs scrambled, cold cuts, cheese, fresh fruit, even decaf tea!), easily the best breakfast I've had among the places I stayed in Madeira and in the top 5 in general.
The main improvement I would love to see is if the hours for pool would be just a bit longer, from 9 pm to 10 pm would really make a big difference. Note to the hotel manager if they are reading this!
Nice hotel in rural area up in the mountains. The building is in a very good shape, seems new. The free running peacocks is the garden are just an extra and funny to watch.
I felt claustrophobic in the room (258). It faced a balcony but without balcony door and there was only a small window. The bed and the pillows were very uncomfortable for me.
nice restaurant and food.
the room which was given to me the the night my flight was cancelled has no chair for the table and the room had insects.
