Arrecife Gran Hotel & Spa

The staff was friendly and the breakfast buffet was excellent.

Wish the room was brighter.

It is the biggest hotel in Arrecife just 10 minutes distance from the airport and in the nearby from Castillo San Gabriel. We lived on the 14th floor, city view, and enjoyed quite a stunning view of Arrecife. The facilities were up to date and the stuff very welcoming and friendly. On our arrival, even we surpassed dinner they arranged some tasty snacks to be delivered to our room, all without extra price. We had even a nice surprise awaiting in the room on my birthday with champagne, a little cake and birthday card, which was very pleasant. The food in the restaurant was quite diverse and everyone could find something for his/her taste.

Pool opening hours 10:00 to 18:00 convenient for staff rather than for guests. Same for billiard.

Great location

Check-in procedure needs streamlining. We were asked during online check-in what time we would be arriving we stated 11am and hoped to check in around that tome. Documentation states 2pm but staff quote 3pm. Promised to telephone us when our room was ready, but they failed to do so. Would have expected our bags to have been in our room already for us and not having to ask and wait for them.

Staff are friendly. Breakfast included does not come to the room only the buffet and I was told breakfast was over at 10:50. I should of rang earlier apart from that everything was nice

Location to amenities.

The noise all night from pumps or works being done. We were above the swimming pool in a suite, which was expensive for what it was.had no apology when we complained,and we couldn't see out of the window as it had broken. The wait at bar 17 to be seated was unacceptable as there were empty seats but left to stand for ages.Staff seemed not as friendly as our last visits felt different, such a shame.Expensive suite, no view and noise, so we didn't enjoy this visit.

I liked the location , the facilities, the bed mattrass it is the best ever I've slept on in the hotels , nice pool and breakfast

The architecture of the hotel is stunning with lots of marble and white leather. My room was huge and well appointed and did not disappoint. I particularly liked the floor to ceiling windows which made the room light and airey

The food in the buffet was a disappointment with a very limited choice at breakfast and dinner. I would have expected better from a hotel which claims to be 5 star.Rooms do not have balconies and the area for sun bathing is small.The TV service in English is restricted to the BBC and Sky News.

Breakfast dining room Nescafé coffee machines very poor for a 5 star hotel, no coffee machine in the standard rooms, staff attitude could be better. Overall I've stayed in better 5 star hotel's

Breakfast Buffet was OK and the view from the restaurant was nice.

Once again we did not get the room that was suggested in the offer. The hotel is old fashioned and is absolutely not to a 5* standards. We paid for a sea view but received a room with city view and partial seaview.

Beautiful hotel close to amenities

Have to pay an extra €10 a night to park the car yet paying guests at the hotel adds a lot on top of the hotel costs. Cost us €180 euros which is excessive in our estimation

Good location, walking distance to shops, bars,restaurants, historic landmarks, beaches. Room was comfortable, sea view. Amazing sunsets, food and drinks on the 17th floor " Blue 17 " .

Perhaps a better sunlounging area with more sunbeds. Faster lifts.

The room windows need cleanedBar 17 queue to get in was not great- thought hotel guest should be able to book a table with view but you can't! You need to queue. Pool area all sunbeds taken by public not even hotel guests HB should include at least 1 drink per meal. Also only 1 set cutlery given at breakfast & Dinner.

Excellently appointed and location very good. Town centre is not great but okay.

Sunbathing position doesn’t get sun until 11.30am in the winter(probably earlier in summer).

A fantastically well decorated and equipped suite; a beautiful and relaxing pool/sun terrace area; an excellent location in central Arrecide; and a great breakfast.

They could replace the Nescafe coffee machines at breakfast with machines that provide better quality coffee, as the current ones let the rest of the hotel down.

Clean, good location, comfortable

WiFi was awful, I had technician in my room multiple times in 36 hrsThe restaurants were very bad. Only one restaurant open at night with very limited menu, poorly cooked OR queuing in a 5 star to enter the Buffet

Couldn't get the nespresso machine to work and no cups to fit
