About
This hotel is located in a residential area of San Antonio, 0.9 mi from a sandy beach and the resort center and 1.2 mi from the famous Lago Martiánez. The Acuario has fantastic views of Mount Teide and Puerto de la Cruz and due to its excellent location it is particularly popular with couples and young holiday-makers who seek simple yet friendly accommodations with good levels of service. During the day, guests at the Acuario like to soak up the sun by the outdoor swimming pool and use the pool bar for light snacks and drinks. For more substantial meals, the hotel has a restaurant, which offers international cuisine. For those guests wishing to venture outside the hotel, there is also a bus service to the resort center.

Pros +
- I had a pretty nice experience in this hotel, very good price for breakfast and dinner included. I also had the best room, it was somehow isolated, on the last floor, in a corner, so no neighbors to make noise. Breakfast and especially dinnner are very good, fresh canarian food and wide range of selection. Location is good not far from beach or bus station.
- Nice reasonable price
- The room was tiny but comfortable. the bathroom was almost shockingly clean, even though quite tiny as well. value for money, still ok probably. you get what you pay for.
Cons -
- Was not allowed access to hotel room i had paid for as a few things led to me arriving a day late. No refund, no room. This then forced me to go elsewhere and pay over the odds for a new room.
- The biggest problem was the WiFi, there is WiFi but not very stable, it was not available in the room, but on the balcony, it did the job, but don't expect much speed, if you need to work like i did.
- Hard to find reception, not many english speaking staff

There was this unpleasant smell in the room which even after keeping the balcony door open the whole time, did not go away. If you are arriving with a car, there is very limited parking space around the hotel. at the reception also not the nicest welcoming.
It was very clean, the room had a lot of light. The soap was to die for (very secured to the walls); I actually took a photo of it as I liked it so much.
The hot water took a bit of time to come thru at times. The location was up a big hill... Good to be a little fitter. Parking was an issue so it was better to be back a little early just to find the place otherwise its a walk up the hill. It would be good to have bed side lights , left and right, as the main light was too bright. The floor was rather cold being winter so mats on the floor would be good.
The property is very dated & the room was very small . The shower in the bathroom needs updating ( it was not very clean ) & a very strong damp smell
The location was great , in a nice quiet residential neighbourhood
In Reception Jonathan was wery polite. On the other hand about 50 years old lady in reseption lost his skills to talk and understand English when we talk about complicated issue.I suggest you to you to transfer her in kitchen where she can wash dishes.
Not a lot, the staff at check-in were friendly and helpful. Cheap for stay and food included
The Room was tiny. bathroom door wouldn’t even open all the way. The shower only had half a sidewall so leaked through the rest of the bathroom. The walls were so thin we needed earplugs to try sleep. We heard every person walk up and down the stairs each morning and night. The balcony was connected to the next room and windows and doors were not very secure with only small latches to lock. The Food was ok but the Dining area was like a prison Cafeteria and then the rooms were like cells also with literally just a bed and tiny bathroom. The food options were acceptable but only that with a very small selection of fruit . No fridge in the room to even keep water was a big problem for us. The Pictures must have been taken by an expert Photographer because they show a much nicer hotel than it is. It is also at the top of a mountain side €6/7 to get a taxi up to from town centre. We walked down each time but I wouldn’t recommend it.
Nothing it's a hostel not hotel
Staff very rude and just wanted money for things we didn't have overpaid on a lot of things
Not much.
As a gay couple, I felt the man at the front desk look me up and down and treat us differently than the other people checking in. The room was dark. The shower moldy. The hook where the shower head was fixed to the wall was broken and it would either fall or the water pressure would spray up to the ceiling. The breakfast was bad. Was grateful for it being including but the quality of everything was a bad.
We liked that it's not very far to the city center and the breakfast was delicious and the bed was comfortable and warm and we liked the balcony and the amazing view. The man at the reception was very friendly and gave us so many tips and recommendations on the Island:)
Unfortunately no fridge and no option to put our food in the fridge on my 30th birthday we had afew things but we weren't allowed. The shower wasn't great, it was very hard and thin... and also very high up so that definitely needs improvement. And a bathmatt would be good because its easy to slip in the bathtub where you shower. And the walls were very thin. We heard our neighbour snoring and it was hard to sleep and there were ants everywhere but otherwise it was really nice
Everything was well clean and organized. Beds, bathroom, all rooms and the breakfast in the morning!By the way, thank you so much for the help with the taxi management!
Everything was just perfect. Very humble people and professional.
The hotel was clean. The neighbourhood was quiet. The breakfast was a varied, eat all you can buffet. The staff were very friendly.
The room had no 'low' lighting, just one big, bright, glaring light in the ceiling. It is about a mile from the town centre but, be warned, it's all uphill on way home, quite a climb. They ran out of black tea bags at breakfast time! Knowing how popular these are surely it wouldn't be hard to make sure you have more than enough in stock? They're not expensive and keep forever.
Has a swimming pool, the only good thing. It is clean
Very old facilities, and uncomfortable beds. Expensive for what it offers. For a stopover yes, but nothing more than that
In quiet area… However - see negative remark…
Rooms are very noisy. You can hear talking people, TV’s, etc. from surrounding rooms or walking on the corridor… Even if you close windows, doors…
Cheap and will get what you pay
Very budget hotel very small choice of food everething dark and oldBut you will get what you pay
Friendly staff value for money
Probably location but we knew where it was so not a problem as we had car
Excellent value for money. Good experience. The buffet and breakfast was fresh with enough choice. Comfortable rooms. Small swimming pool on the roof to relax. Everything went well and smooth.
space and roof terrace
food average lack of variety
Room was good with Balcony of course, Bathroom should be better, but very important is that it was clean. Bed was OK, brand new and in very good condition.
to catch the wi-fi was very poor from the room ...
