Hotel Tejuma

A large room with bathroom it met our needs for a place to stay. Owner could have informed of ability to use microwave and beverage facilities before we left.

At the top of a high, steep hill. Not suitable for people with any cardiac or mobility problems without transport. It is 25km+ from Santa Cruz yet it is stated as being in the Santa Cruz area. We had to change all plans to use the Express location

Had some trouble finding it via googlemaps but the location is better than expected, nearer the bus station - important for me - and the middle of town. The room and bed were both spacious, and it was quiet.

Anyone who stays must go down to reception when things don´t work. I couldn´t be bothered to do this.

Location was very convenient.

Facilities very basic. No kettle or hairdryer in room. TV did not work. Some power points were insecure and potentially dangerous.

Only if you’re looking for a budget option in Puerto that is located somewhat central.

It hasn’t been renovated in ages. It stinks like cigarettes everywhere. You don’t feel welcome at all.

The bathroom was a disaster. No hot water, a decrepit shower head with poor flowing water, plus a loose wash basin.The hot water situation was reported to the receptionist, but still nothing was done to rectify the problem.

The location was the best. Barely 5-6min walk to the city centre. The staff was good and helpful. They cleaned it daily and provided clean and new towels everyday.

The walls were thin so we could hear noise of television from Neighbours. It was annoying as we had an old man living next door and he put on tv with such high volume. We had to complaint the staff and they made sure to address it to him.

It was clean, close to the centre.

No parking, low water pressure

Having to leave

There is not much I liked about this stay.

I waited 35 minutes in front of the door because I arrived late, I informed the receptionist who told me that was not a problem, the owner was going to happily come and check me in anytime. That was the total opposite: that senior, grumpy man, is the most unpleasant person ever, had me waiting for a half hour, made me feel unwelcome, was throwing my ID card around and even told me to come on time next time, underlining and stressing how annoyed he was by my presence. There will be no next time. The place is old and I had a room with a window looking at a corridor. It was cheap but felt like a rip off. Such a horrible experience with the staff, the room was falling apart, no view to the exterior, and the most unpleasant business owner I have ever met. There is nothing to recommend here. If you value friendliness, cleanliness, functional room facilities, a good location, and good value for your money, do not come here as you will not find it.

Clean room and super friendly staff. We could leave our food in the communal fridge.

Unfortunately other reviews saying it was peaceful were nonsense as far as I could seeThere was a lot of early evening noise of raised voices, furniture being moved about and banging in the hotel and lots of noise outside too. Then at least one rooms tv was audible well late into the night making it hard to sleep I would not return because this noise made it quite miserable

The location is very good, close to the city centre. There is a great view from the balcony, you can see Mount Teide and the ocean.The rooms were cleaned every day. And the staff is very friendly and always ready to help you.

Basic, no frills hotel located near the main town square and the bus station. Comfortable bed, clean, good pressure shower, hot water, room cleaned daily. Friendly, professional staff. Would return.
