Pros +
- Very Nice Staff, well located in Tenerife
- They were very nice and made a great surprise to my boifriend. It was his birthday and they knew this from his passport, so they brought us champagne and cakes into our room in that day, and also a happy birthday card.
- Very comfortable and elegant room. I especially appreciated the comfortable bed and sheets.
Cons -
- The gym could be better suited to enable people to get a proper workout. Something as simple as a set of ajustable dumbells that go to 90lbs and perhaps a multi-station machine with pullies to enable different muscle group activation.
- No bathrobes or hotel slippers in the room. Also, I would expect some small bottles with shower gel, shampoo, body lotion, the usual basics you find in the bathroom of a 4 stars hotel, but only some big bottle of shower gel in the shower was there.
- It would be nice if there were a real a la carte restaurant on the property, not just a buffet dinner in the basement.

Location, right across the street from the beach. The views! Food, both breakfast and dinner (half board). This is my third time staying at this location, and there is a great improvement from the last two times.
Great location, not only in Puerto de la Cruz, but also in Tenerife itself - you're roughly 1 hour away from virtually any place in the island. It was an good base for these vacations. The pool is large and it has a nice setting, but from the pictures and map view I thought the sea and beach were visible. No such luck, all you can see is the wall. But it's a good pool anyway. The staff was nice and helpful - Malika in the recpetion told us exactly where to eat nice typical food at decent prices (not the tourist joints), and it went great.
Breakfast/dinner: Too little variety and after 3 or 4 days you really don't have new things to try. The pasta and rice dishes were especially soggy and bad-looking all the time. Fortunately there was always good fruit. I was especially badly impressed with the fact that drinks were charged at dinner, even though we had the dinner included in our booking. I mean, if you want a special bottle of wine, ok... but at least one basic drink per person could be included.Parking: crazy high price of 24€/night, but to be honest you don't have a lot of alternatives in this city. Any free parking is at least a 30 minute walk, because you WILL NOT be lucky enough to find a parking spot in the street nearby every single day. At least not during high season. And I simply cannot understand how does a huge building with 14 floors have such a small parking area - at most 40 car slots.Elevators: Terrible. Although each landing had the usual up/down buttons, when an elevator arrives, they both go off. You have no idea if the car you're entering will go up or down. It was not unusual to make a trip from 4 to 10 to 13, back to 6, 0, and finally -1. During meal times it was even worse. And since only one of the elevators did go to the parking floor (which had no stairs access!), it was easy to wait for more than 5 minutes there.
Great location, highly recommend the upgrade if you can get it - amazing ocean views and the private complementary dining area is worth it for breakfast and drinks - the main restaurant gets way too busy. The pool area was nice and food was quite good as well in the poolside cafe, staff very friendly. Room and bed very comfortable.
The 3 elevators are not enough for such a big hotel - they were always packed and in busy times impossible to go to or from your room. During breakfast or after beach rush you could wait 20 min!! And good luck walking up to the 10th floor... At the pool, there are not enough umbrellas and people tend to run and reserve sun loungers with towels from the morning, so unless you are early, you're out of luck or in the full sun.
Breakfast was good but understaffed, we had to wait for the eggs to be ready about 20min as there was just a lonely chef and too many guests... so I suggest to the hotel to add more staff.
Parking.... it's great that the hotel offer parking as in the area there is no much parking spot, but it wasn't specified that need to be booed in advance so once we got there there was no parking available. At the Spa even you are not able to charge the treatment to the room, so you have to have cash or visa on you.
The hotel is located very well, in front of the sea, near the centre and all the shops. There is a little beach in front of the hotel, but probably you will be not able to swim in the ocean using this beach, because of the very big waves ? we liked the pool and the fact that there was a towel service. Also, there was a good service from receptionists during our stay. We had a half board option and food was delicious. It is definitely worth to pay some extra for the ocean view.
Pictures of the rooms are not relevant. The furniture, especially armchairs are so old, that they need to be changed asap. The hotel clearly needs renovation, it was founded in 1984. We would not book this hotel, if we’ll know that it is in a such condition.
Very convenient hotel location
