Banana Garden La Palma

Arrived on late ferry but no problem as an easy remote check in. Delicious breakfast - excellent coffee.We were able to leave our luggage in a safe place until our evening flight.Cocktails on the rooftop terrace were also delicious.

I wish there was a bigger selection of veggies at the breakfast, for example some cucumber :)

We loved everything, warm welcome, clean room, support and help with any daft questions we asked. Fantastic breakfast choices and tasty cocktail menu. Short distance to beach, you can hear waves from hotel. Roof top terrace absolute treat. Coffee was gorgeous too and I’m not really a coffee drinker. Well done.

Really friendly hotel, in the centre of town ( if you drive parking can be a fun game) rooms are well equipped and clean everything a solo traveller could need.

The breakfast was very good, especially the coffee, croissants and selection of cheeses. The staff were cheerful and helpful.

The hotel is really quirky, the room looked exactly like the pictures. It's small, but has all you need. The bed and pillows are comfy, the whole room and bathroom was super clean. The water pressure in the shower is amazing! The staff all speak perfect English, are super friendly and helpful. We had breakfast on the last day as we had to leave early for the airport, they've got a great selection of cereals, meats, cheese, fruit, croissant, juice and coffee. They also have alternative milks like oat which is great! The location is fantastic, it's in the pedestrian area which is really pretty with all the old buildings. It's close to restaurants and cafes, but not noisy at night which is good! The curtains are blackout so it's nice and dark to sleep. There's no parking onsite but we used the recommended parking from their website which is ideal, it's underground, secure and within walking distance. Can't fault anything and would definitely recommend a stay here!

Great location near restaurants and the seafront. Breakfast was excellent and the cappuccino the best on the island.

Not quite enough tables for the number of guests at breakfast. We had to sit on a sofa.

Upon check in you o notice they are well organized and follow all the requirements established by law such as registering ID and credit card and making you sign GDPR etc… everything is correct. I highly recommend checking in online in advance because the law changed in Spain and now it’s much more complex so if you do it before arrival it will save you time!

A stay at Banana Garden is a very pleasant experience. The hotel is in an excellent location in the main city of Santa Cruz, just 15 minutes from the airport. Nearby, along the main beach, there are free parking spots marked with white lines. Breakfasts are very tasty and fresh. The hotel's exceptional dried bananas are particularly noteworthy. The rooms are small but modern, featuring a comfortable bed and a coffee set. There is a small balcony with a beautiful view of the ocean and the sunrise. The staff is very friendly. I highly recommend the hotel ! If I return to La Palma, I will definitely choose this hotel again.

Already stayed here before… I like the continental breakfast with local products (no hot dishes but they have everything you need, such as REALLY GOOD barista coffee which for me is the most important part of breakfast) - and they let you reserve a time for breakfast which I think is very convenient!!

STAFF WERE GREAT, THE LOCATION WAS EXCELLENT AND BREAKFAST WAS LOVELY.IF I EVER GO THAT WAY AGAIN I WILL STAY AT THIS HOTEL.

Really good location, right at the heart of the town. Excellent communication with the property which make things super easy and smooth to check in, although we arrived very late. Room was very clean, comfy bed, and nice balcony with views. Breakfast was nice too! many thanks and hope to be back

No air con and noise from street as window needed to be open.

The hotel is very centrally located and smells great from the moment you walk in. The staff is very welcoming, nice and helpful. The breakfast has delicious fresh baked goods. The standard rooms are comfortable and nicely done, if a bit small. The best part must be the rooftop terrace, which is alone reason to stay here.

There is no air conditioning and the room gets unbearably hot without leaving the door open. The problem is that being in the centre, there are various noises at night that constantly woke us up. It is a bit annoying that you have to ask for cheese, cold cuts etc. instead of just being able to take what you would like. If you have a car be prepared to walk a ways from your car to the hotel since there are no parking spots near the hotel.
