    Pros +

    • Comfortable beds. Clean. Helpful front desk staff.
    • The rooms are larger than typical Japanese hotels.
    • Balanced Japanese style breakfast with main dishes changing everyday. Free umbrella rental for a sudden snow/rain, free coffee 24hrs.

    Cons -

    • Had to reserve the laundry room. Luckily their was a coin laundry place across the street.
    • The hotel is relatively far from town and so it really the only place to eat dinner. The buffets are diverse and the food is OK to good, but the prices are exhorbitant.
    • The bed was probably the most uncomfortable I’ve stayed in in Japan - I’ve been here for three months across numerous cities in similar priced hotels. I also chose this hotel because it lists that it has a designating smoking area - newsflash, it doesn’t.

The size of the room was good for the price and the staff were really friendly.

The location was very convenient for us. There is a laundry in the hotel that costs like peanuts. The restaurant serves simple but tasty breakfast, enough to stay energetic till dinner :) The bathrooms are small and in plastic but clean.

I can’t say I did not like anything specific. The hotel is quite old, could benefit from refurbishment. I stayed in two rooms, in one bed was excellent in another it was rather worn out and not so comfy. The rooms are lacking wardrobes, but apparently this is a kind of standard here. I could not fully figure out the air-condition…

The location was very good, I was close to many of the different places that I intended to visit but it was slightly off the main road so it was nice and quiet. The staff were very friendly and explained everything to me, and the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I also felt like I had a decent amount of space compared to some other hotels in Japan.

I didn't enjoy the breakfast to be honest, I went an hour before it finished and there was hardly anything there, all of it was lukewarm to cold, and I just didn't think it was worth the extra money, I only went once. The other thing was the laundry facilities: there are two washers and two dryers which you have to book - this is fine, and free. However, because they are both in a tiny locked room I had to keep asking the staff to unlock it for me, and then they stood back a bit while I got my laudry sorted. I found this less convenient that just using coin laundry, especially because the machines themselves weren't very good.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, always had fresh towels, stores were close by, close to a subway station, restaurants nearby. Really great.

You get what you payfor. all the information was very straight forward and no fuss getting in at late hours.we had a 2 person room, which included a desk and tv. The Wifi was very well in our room so we did not need to miss important online events.Shower and simple toiletries were included as wellextra + The free coffee in the lobby was a godsend for a caffeinated person like me.

A bedside table with a lamp would have been nice by default.i know you could ask for an extra lamp, but with nothing to put it on or have a socket for it, it is a bit impractical. For a long stay the room for 2 was a bit cramped at times as we had to maneuver a bit impractical around furniture to use the bathroom

Although the Breakfast was fine, a request for a vegan breakfast was made, though the staff mentioned it wasn't possible for them.

I reversed this space for my uncle who was travelling from India for a meeting in Japan. I learned from his experience that the staff at the reception wasn't supportive. It was his first trip to Japan and he is a senior age, he asked the staff at reception if someone could take him to his room as he wasn't familiar enough with the place. However, his request was impolitely rejected and he was asked to go by himself. The staff wasn't polite and helpful enough.

    Passable

Staff at the front desk is not helpful at all. For two people, the bed was small, 120cm, and the mattress unfortunately uncomfortable.

Very helpful staff. Nice breakfast. Convenient location.

The back of the mirror in the bathroom is a bit dirty.

The check-in process went smoothly. I arrived about an hour before check-in time, and the reception gladly held my two bags as I did some sightseeing. The person at check-in spoke some English, which was helpful. They were also helpful when I needed to use the iron/ironing board. For a Japanese hotel, the room was somewhat spacious. The bed was comfortable to me. I was there during mid-December, and while it was cold out, the room temperature was fine by me. The bathroom and shower were okay. My expectations for a 2-3 star hotel were met, as I wasn't expecting the Ritz Carlton. From some previous reviews complaining about smoke smell in a non-smoking room, I did not notice this at all. It's an issue in Japan in general, but it seemed the whole fifth floor was non-smoking. Overall, the room was adequately clean.I did not have the breakfast, which I've seen good reviews about.Location (walking): 5mins to Kokubuncho nightlife and restaurants5-10mins to shopping20-30mins to Sendai Castle and/or Zuihoden20mins to Sendai StationLess than 5mins to Metro station1min to Ramen Jiro (famous Tokyo ramen chain)Good location overall if you don't need to be right by Sendai Station

They have free coffee. The room is pretty large. Location is not bad considering there’s a bus that run frequently.

Toilet is a little bit small. The room is pretty old
