Amazing location, views, and very new (despite not amazing quality) facilities

Breakfast was bad, extremely different every day, there are no standards.Staffing is extremely unprepared. Exception was Juma, Moses and the manager, these three are great, rest is unprepared

very humid and no fan in the sunny side up restaurant and one couple hogged the mini pool from 7 am to 5pm 3 days:( should limited max to 1 hour so more guests can enjoy the mini spa pool.

The Lala Galu staff went above and beyond: when our flight to Nairobi was delayed several hours, they helped us get in touch with the airline, gave us a slightly later check-out and then provided an extra room where we could shower and change after check-out. This turned our last day at Lala Galu - when we were initially just going to get up in the morning and leave - into a relaxing extra beach and pool day. We were already happy with our stay, but this was exceptional service.We chose Lala Galu to be able to go straight from our room/cabin and right into the ocean - and we could definitely do that here. The cabins, pool, bar and lounge area and beach access were all excellent.

The breakfast is not a buffet; you choose one meal from a menu that is then made for you. The food was good, but sometimes the wait time was long. You go to Lala Galu to relax, not to rush, so it isn't a big deal, but good to know for other travelers. Although there is a safe in the room, it isn't attached to the wall or anything else, and can just be lifted out. We commented to the staff that this isn't really all that secure. That being said, the entire Lala Galu area is closed off, has security cameras, and and overall did feel very safe.

They lack a lot of amenities (no switch in the toilet, no TV, no iron, etc.). Their breakfast is so limited for the exorbitant price they charge for breakfast inclusive (you only get one dish on the menu). I highly recommend you shouldn’t book your rooms with breakfast inclusive and rather pay for it at the site. Their employees aren’t welcoming, and it takes a lot for them to even reply to a ‘’Good morning’’.

It's a nice, new, modern property right by the beach. I really enjoyed the cabin which is perfectly sized with a modern bathroom. The restaurant is also really nice, breakfast is tasty and very generous, and staff are very kind and friendly.

There was no drinking water easily accessible beyond the relatively small water bottle in the room which only gets refilled once. Apparently a temporary issue but still - it was not easy to get water.

food menu is trying too hard and hence you cannot tell what you are ordering. DJ on Friday afternoon was very loud and spoiled the peace.

Beautiful place by the beach. Rooms are great with Aircon. Has a nice restaurant and excellent breakfast.

If I must say something then the restaurant could have fans as it gets super hot.

Most of the staff were delightful and professional.

It would have been good to alert to the DJ and all day loud music over the weekends, as the vibe was thus not of a relaxing "ecolodge" but rather a party place.In terms of the staff some were very friendly but clearly untrained interns. Perhaps same in the kitchen as the same orders came different on different days, with ingredients lacking.

Breakfast was excellent. Location is also excellent. Hotel is on the beach.

Loud music in the restaurant on weekends was disturbing. Room lacks a clothes drying rack, clothes shelves and coffee/tea making facilities.

The rooms, location and amenities are great. We liked the room amenities, the pool and the gym.

The breakfast was quite meagre for what you actually get.

Fantastic location, situated right on the beach front, wonderful staff who are friendly and available to help at all times. Rooms are perfect for this type of stay, with access to the beach in less than a minute, great aircon and comfortable bedding. The food is also excellent and well priced. Highly recommend.

Nothing!

The location is perfect! Close to Diani town, grocery stores, boutiques, etc. - all a quick and affordable Uber ride away. The onsite restaurant had great food, amazing drinks and exceptional service - Jay, Flora, Bilal and Shingali were amazing as well as the managers Emily and Watoka. The music in the evenings was fun and wasn't too loud into the evening. The pool and drink service is excellent and the location right on the beach was ideal. The rooms were clean and cleaned daily as needed. Everything was so lovely and more than we could have asked for. Everyone was very accommodating including the chefs who helped prepare food that our little one enjoyed. They made everything extra special when my partner proposed as well! Will definitely come back.

The dining area could use a large, industrial, ceiling fan to keep things more breezy during the humid mornings/afternoons and maybe a more varied playlist. The music was great, but we stayed for multiple days - we go very familiar with the playlist! Also would love to see options in the future for larger rooms/multiple room bungalows for families with young children. Overall, really exceptional experience.

Staff great and food was surprisingly good

Rooms were small- not enough space to store clothes for 2 people. Thought this was v expensive for what it was regarding rooms and facilities. We stayed up the beach for another 3 nights at 20% less cost and 20% better rooms/facilities

Great place & highly recommended! The staff is absolutely brilliant, facilities are very good, pool area with access to the sea, very nice breakfast and great restaurant. Would definitely stay again.

Not a major issue, but a few more shelves, drawers or at least more hangers to keep clothes in the room would be useful.
