Comfort Hotel Gifu

Very convenient location right across the street from the train station. Very friendly staff and decent breakfast!

Value and location access to 2 train stations, Meitetsu Gifu , and another Gifu JRLine.

I stayed for 2 weeks, so after 3 breakfast I got tired of the food. It is the same food that repeat daily. For those who stay 1 or 2 days, it is OK.

I had a massage, in which they came right to my room. This was great because when she was finished, I did not have to get up and go anywhere.

No washcloths, doesn’t seem to be a thing in any hotel I stayed.

The hotel is very conveniently located. It's a 5-minute walk to JR Gifu station and an 8-minute walk to Meitetsu-Gifu Station. There's one bus stop near the hotel, but I mostly used the one next to the station.The room was quite spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. My room overlooked the station, but I couldn't hear any noise. There was a beer festival going on near the station that evening, but I didn't hear a thing, and I slept well.You can use your laptop at evening in the restaurant if you need to work. There's a coin laundry.The breakfast was delicious! And there's something new every day.The staff was very friendly and really helped me with my suitcase before check-in and after check-out.Gifu has many interesting temples, and there are hiking trails to choose from, depending on your level and experience. Even though it was rainy, I really enjoyed admiring the panorama of the city at night from the top of Gifu Castle. By the way, in Gifu Mt. Kinka Ropeway Base Station you can find the most delicious dorayaki in the world!Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to explore Kawaramachi as I planed. I'd love to visit this wonderful city again and see the sights I missed. And I'll definitely stay at this hotel.

The location. Comfort Hotel is within walking distance of two train stations. There Convenient store near the entrance. The breakfast buffet is very good.

Although I felt the bed to be very comfortable, the pillows were very flat. We requested another pillow and were given very nice ones.

The location is fantastic. It’s within walking distance to two train stations. The prices were comparable to others nearby, but the location was our deciding factor. Also the breakfast buffet is in my opinion very good.

There is no complementary water in the rooms or a safe to lock up valuables.

Staff were very kind and welcoming. The breakfast in the morning was also well done.

The room was not very clean upon arrival and had an odd smell . It was clear that the cleaning was done quickly and just surface level. The walls had some kind of substance on them that needed to be wiped down and the floor had a lot of dust on it. The area where the bed meets the wall there is a space where you can see the floor it’s clear the floor on this area had not been vacuumed for a long time a lot of unidentifiable materials like dust skin cells and dirt were piled.

Breakfast was very nice. Liked that there were many parking lots nearby.

Parking was hard. I had to use my translator app to figure out how the remote lots worked. A warning or explanation would have been nice about how the lots work. As I was walking out of the lot that I originally parked in I noticed "12 hour max" so I moved to the next farther lot. Turns out that the first lot I chose closed down in the day for some sort of market.

Good location, just 3-5 minutes walk from JR station, staff is nice and helpful, room is clean and quiet, breakfast is nice and simple. However, I think the price is slightly higher than usual during F1 weekend.

The location couldn’t be much better. Just a 5 minute walk across to JR Gifu Station.

The room was a bit small and the A/C was not working.

The location to two rail stations is very convenient. Hotel staff were both professional and courteous. Breakfast and access to refreshments and reading materials is a nice offering.

We experienced a false fire alarm and we’re asked to evacuate. I believe that the smoke detector was activated by steam from the bathroom.

The location is so convenient with many parking lots nearby. We enjoy the drinks and books at the dining lounge at night till 12am.

The air conditioner is supplying hot air only. We have to turn it off and open the window of just one inch wide. Luckily the weather is around 20o C at night.

Easy access to two major stations in Gifu City and shopping areas.

Only two small elevators available for movement within the hotel.

The elevators are really small and not great for those traveling with large suitcases.

Excellent front desk services. The employees here are warm and always helpful and help me to handle invoices problems. Also,the hotel is nice located near jr station, supermarket, and convenience store. The room is relatively small but clean and well-equipped. The breakfast is delicious.All, the hotel is business friendly for me.

Wished there was a warm light option for the room or a switch that can turn down the glare of the white light.

Business type hotel with basics covered. Rooms are on the smaller side but comfortable for a short stay.
