Hotel Resol Gifu

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable, clean and spacious. The hotel was in a convenient location - near convenience stores and train station. Good value stay for the price and would likely return here in the future.

Shared microwave was provided, but it was placed right next to the indoor smoking area. I think that it could be placed in a different location to accommodate those who wish to avoid inhaling unwanted fumes.

Bed is a little hard

I really enjoyed my 6 day stay here. The staff provide highly quality, friendly service. It was very comfortable, quiet and clean. The room had a wonderful view of the mountains and castle in the distance. Being able to take a bath with quality bath salts and toiletries every night was appreciated. The location is fantastic as it is very close to 2 train stations, making day trips easy. Gifu itself is also a lovely city with plenty to do and see, and a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Would stay here again.

Nothing, everything exceeded my expectations!

Location was super! Everything was very close to the hotel! The trains stations, the bus station, restaurants and bars. Simple hotel, lovely stay, everything was provided properly.

Pillows! One of the pillows was uncomfortable.

The staff were very helpful. I booked one night but ended up extending my stay because the location is so convenient and facilities and staff are wonderful. One of the nights I booked a smoking room accidentally, and after a few minutes in the room I realized I could not stay there (I quit smoking a year ago), and the staff was kind enough to change my room without extra charge or hustle. Breakfast is a bit pricy though, but there are excellent options at the Gifu station right about 3 to 5 minute walk away.

Different from all other properties.

Room amenities could be better. Such as bottled water, coffee not just tea. Carpet needed shampooing. Free shuttle bus is nice in the morning schedule except no other offering until 7pm until midnight or so. So you’ll need to find other means of transportation to the hotel.

The room was much larger than other hotels for approximately the same price.

A/C didn’t cool as I expected. Also our breakfast was not included in the price and paid for it. The selection was very nice but could have been much better if the chafing pans were lit to keep the food warm.

Hotel Resol is just a few minutes walk from the Meitetsu line and the JR Gifu station. Many restaurants nearby and convenient store is close as well, if you decide not to enjoy the wonderful breakfast selection. And the rooms are spacious! Also the staff let me use an umbrella to walk to the convenient store.

I wish there was laundromat available at the property.

The location and the staff.

Every 48 hours they require you to leave your room and return the room key for several hours while they go in and inspect it and clean it. This is not an option.

There are convenient stores and restaurants around the hotel but walking to touristic destinations such as Gifu castle is far with young children.There are plenty of public parking around the hotel but the one partnering with the hotel is the multi-storey (Kuniroku Parking Lot) next to the hotel which you could use for a flat fee until hotel check-out time. The parking lot is secured, has a lift and is under covered.

Location and facility was great. Staff can't speak english but they tried thier best to help.

No free parking in the hotel area. You had to park your car at the parking lot next to the hotel and pay 1000yen per night.

This hotel is in a very convenient for the JR line and also the Meitetsu line. The reception staff were very helpful. Facilities were fine.

Basic hotel, no frills. No drama either. Nice to have availability of smoking rooms.

The staff is friendly and try their best to help us. The hotel is close to several restaurants.

The hotel has a 1990s vibe, it needs some renovation to move it to the 21 century.

The rooms and beds were spacious. We had enough space and have our luggage open.

Amenities were minimal and there weren't any convenient or restaurant around.

Place is slightly old, but everything functional.

The staff were very helpful organising our Ukai (cormorant fishing) tour and taxis and giving us advice.

Didnt love the ceramic art-work behind reception and feel it makes the hotel look more out of date than it is.
