Mount Meru Hotel

The grounds were beautiful and the staff was warm, polite, friendly and professional.

The room needed some maintenance; the drapery had a big tear, the door was very heavy and hard to open, the bathroom grout looked somewhat moldy, and I had to ask for bathroom linen like face and hand towels and tissue paper,

Breakfast was good and location was strategic

Location was good

This is a big hotel. It’s a nice place, but I didn’t like the food served at breakfast and the TV was not working. We had better food in our tented lodge/camp in the middle of Serengeti.

Good hotel in Arusha We stayed there two nights for our safari trip in NgoroNgoro and then went to MoshiThe hotel is nice and safe.

Comfortable rooms, great food and excellent accommodating staff

Breakfast was excellent - many choices. Dinner also great.

The staff were very friendly and always willing to help. We enjoyed the selection at breakfast, which was halaal except for bacon at a separate table. The room was equipped with a kettle, safe and mini fridge.

The coffee at breakfast wasn't great but I enjoyed cappuccinos at an extra cost of 8000 shilling from Arabica restaurant. Room service was good quality but quite costly. The room key card was faulty and I had to go to reception on a daily basis to reactivate it.

Great Ambience,, this hotel is have beautiful landscaping & overall Ambience is just superb

I think staff needs to be more polite especially in the restaurant. They should be attentive to the guest more

The TV in the room wasn’t working and no one came to fix it despite asking for assistance on 3 different occasions I found the hotel to be overpriced considering the amenities were quite basic and the room was small

Nothing really

The hotel was fantastic! The breakfast options, facilities and location were excellent. The grounds were serene and peaceful.The staff were very pleasant. Special mention to Rachel from the restaurant who added a personal touch, Agness also from the restaurant and Pendo from housekeeping.

The wifi was a big challenge though the staff assured us that this was being worked on.

The staff are extremely helpful and welcoming. They helped us to get local SIM cards and exchange currency. The food is good and the rooms are spacious

The internet is very bad. Surprised for such a large place. I had to keep going down to the lobby to get a decent signal and even there it was weak.

Location and facility, your pricing is too low compared to Melia your neighbour, you are undervaluing yourselfs. Do renovations and up your prices.

Renovations are over due somenof the ascetics are in bad condition. Very well designed hotel, you are not doing it justice by not uplifting it.

Location is good and the gardens are lovely.

Cons:- check in to check out, the entire process is very slow. They have two terminals and plenty staff but it seems like one person does everything while the rest hang around. Getting checked in and then waiting for my statement at check out was a very long arduous process. Give it 15-20 mins atleast for a process that should take 5 mins.- could not get hold of the spa nor room service. I had to call reception to connect me to room service and only then would they pick up the phone. Food took almost an hour to get to the room and yet again I had to go via reception to contact them at all.- Hotel and rooms outdated.

The hotel really met all my expectations. It was a family trip, the room was good, breakfast good and every other facility we used

The wifi is terrible to say the least. At some point we even had to go to the lift lobby to get better reception and even then it was not 100%. it also kept fluctuating

It’s clean

They are discriminative. Some guests are greeted with juice upon arrival, others not. The wifi is not working too in the rooms.

The bath/shower didn’t have a proper door and the rest of the bathroom was getting wet

The view was gorgeous. Felt really safe. The food was pricy but taste good (just hope it was served faster as I waited for almost one hour). Didn't have enough time to use but there was a pool as well.

I asked for a twin bedroom but got a one queen bed room. Requested to change to the twin room but the view wasn't really good, so I went back to the original room - one queen room. Wish there would be more options.
