Mc-Elly's Hotel

The staff were amazing!! The food at the restaurant was incredible, fresh, delicious and made to order. Not sitting in a pot to be reheated. Bed and the view feom the 5th floor was Breathtaking!!

The shower was a little tricky to get the water temperature perfect, but that was it!

Comfortable bed, nice breakfast

Not all amenities mentioned on the website were present in the room. This I found true of all hotels I booked during this holiday. However kettle, tea/coffee facilities were provided immediately after request.

Staff were friendly, and central location.

No hot water for shower, room and bathroom were dirty (although towel and sheets were clean). WiFi did not work in rooms. Very basic hotel.

Perfect if you like the chaos of central Arusha like I do. Right near the market and walking distance from restaurants and central bus station. Room was comfy too, I had a corner room.

Hot water was only warm, balcony door didn’t shut, staff could be more welcoming.

In the evening there was no hot water, which is very common in Tanzania. In the morning it was working again!

Great location, very helpful staff and a comfortable stay.

The power went off in the middle of the night with no generator back-up which made the room really hot without the AC.

Overpriced for what it charges. Nothing good about this place except location

Rooms were small and cramped. AC was making noise.Breakfast buffet was pathetic. The only two options in the menu worthwhile were bread and omelette and if you asked for an extra omelette, the staff asked for extra charge!!!Received tea kettle in room after repeated requests with no refill of tea or coffee. For everything, requested in room there was extra room charge. Kitchen had no good food options if u wanted to order dinner. I paid 120 USD for 3 nights, 40 USD per night.. Maybe 10-15 USD per night is ok for this property. Not more. If u get it that price, worthwhile. If anything more, avoid. Rooms not worth more that 20USD per night at max.

Location was pretty central with all the positives and negatives (noise, crowdy outside).

The facilities are old, not clean, the mosquito net never washed :(

Very helpful staff, good location

Breakfast was disappointing. Shortly after I arrived, the sausages ran out, and it took the chefs over 30 minutes to prepare more. By the time they were finally ready, most of the frustrated guests had already finished their meals and left. It left me wondering if this might be a regular occurrence.

The Hotel was great and Very clean,the breakfast was great and the staff were helpful especially the Manager

If you are driving parking can get a bit squeezed but the staff are always available to control the available parkings

This is my favourite hotel in Arusha - the price is very reasonable and the rooms are clean, comfortable, the aircon always works and the rooms are quiet even though we are in the centre of Arusha. Staff are all so friendly and solve any problem. Breakfast is also one of the best ive had in Arusha

I was only here for one night but the staff were all very helpful, I had a delicious dinner and the next morning staff packed me a takeaway breakfast as I left early for a safari. They kindly stored my luggage while I was on safari.

The hot water was difficult to get working- it took a really long time but eventually worked.

Amazing value for money. Nice room with views to the mountain, very clean, comfortable bed and most importantly, keeps the outside noise out despite being surrounded by busy streets. I stayed only one night but staff I encountered was lovely, especially the lady at the restaurant during the breakfast service. Breakfast included in price was very good and tasty. It's not a luxury place but it's well maintained and has everything you need, can't fault anything.

Comfortable Rooms with mosquito net and WLAN in the rooms. Staff, especially at the reception reliable and helpful for advice.We left our valuables in the safe at the reception and got everything safely back. Restaurant on the 1st floor, opened all day till 9pm with tasty food and friendly staff
