Africa Safari Arusha

The manager did a great job to prepare something for our anniversary, even though we did not inform the lodge in advance of that fact. We really appreciated that!

Food was fine, but could be improved. Drinks were 2-3x the price of just outside the gate.

The staff was wonderful! Always ready to help, big smiles and warm. Service was fast, food was included with our room, room was clean and the resort looks beautiful!

The room we stayed in (not sure about all, but I would assume so), are very very moist inside due to the humidity in the area, so the room we had was very musty and although clean, the mold smell would be the first thing you would notice walking in. Placing dehumidifiers in the rooms would work wonders!

The staff, room and facilities were amazing and exactly as seen in the pictures. The food was also great, especially the dessert. Baraka, Neema and Anderson were beyond warm!

The food options were dry, no soup or gravy unfortunately. The location is also quite rough in terms of accessibility, the road is very bad which made leaving or going back to the hotel quite an uncomfortable experience

A very nice place at the edge of the Arusha town. Good starting point to explore the parks and to avoid overpriced lodges inside parks.

As in some other places here the bathroom has a curtain, not a real door.

The location is bit far and on a very rough road and the wifi is always very bad but the staff is amazing and the food is good and the rooms are nice.

. This place is very calm and peaceful . Room was huge for the 3 of us. Staff was great and they even prepared dinner for us even though we arrived very late.

No wash station or hand sanitizer near buffet. Ppl arriving never washed there hands and went straight to the buffet. No one came to table with wash basin

Positive Aspects:Alcohol Availability: Alcohol was available at regular prices, which was a plus.Clean Bed Linens: The bed linens were fresh and clean.Bed Comfort: The bed itself was not particularly soft, but it was decent enough for a night’s sleep.

Negative Aspects:Difficult Access: The road to the hotel is in very poor condition—bumpy and unsuitable for sedans, making it a challenge to reach the property.Food Quality & Selection: The dining experience was extremely underwhelming. The selection was minimal, with almost nothing to eat apart from plain rice and a few pieces of fruit. The meat was too tough to eat, and the fish was not appetizing either.Safety Concerns: The pool area, especially near the fire pit, felt unsafe as the fence was broken. People were frequently sneaking around, giving an unsettling impression that someone could trespass into the premises.Room Security: Some windows did not close or lock properly, which was concerning.Room Size: The main building room was clean but extremely small, with only about 50 cm of space around the bed.

Great service. Nice courtyard and restaurant - very green and lush! Small but nice pool. Spacious room.

Quite expensive for what you get. Meals are OK. Location is quite off the main road, but contrary to what people say, there is an alternative road leading to the property that is in fine condition (like many Arusha side roads)

I stayed at the Africa Safari Lodge for one night. It was an ideal getaway after trekking. The room was clean, the staff really friendly and I really enjoyed having a drink at the bar. As my flight was in the evening, the hotel also helped to arrange an excursion to help make the most of my day.

The hotel is situated at the top of an unmade road which is about a mile long. There are plenty of motor bike taxis outside to take you into town. The hotel is also close to a mosque so you get disturbed with calls to prayer in the morning. This didn’t bother me, but it might others.

Comfortable and clean room. Friendly staff and good food. Wonderful garden to rest in at beginning or end of your trip.

The property was amazing and the staff, very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was awesome, the chef changed it up everyday which was amazing.The room was clean, with high pressure water in the shower. Loved it!The swimming pool was clean, I enjoyed my morning swim.Also got to learn more about Arusha from the staff.

The road to the Lodge was horrible, I wish something could be done about this, luckily it was just 2.4km to the main road.

Our favourite hotel in TZ. Such a relaxing place to spend time before and after a trip. We kept adding days. The staff are all so friendly and helpful, even more than usual in TZ. We’ll be back.
