Pros +
- Proximity to train station, restaurants and shops.
- Good location/ only staying briefly...... staff we're all wonderful. I liked Sakata a lot
- This hotel is a good spot to base your sightseeing/snowboarding vacation. A very short walk from Nagano Station. The room size is decent by Japan standards, Hotel is clean with some nice amenities. (Laundry, Massage. Hairs) Staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent.
Cons -
- No tattoos in onsen.
- All Good!!
- We rented a car and the parking lot the hotel uses requires you to leave everyday. If you don’t leave, the parking ticket the hotel provides to exit the lot will not work the day you try and leave. Caused us confusion at the gate and a bit of a traffic jam. There was a nice parking attendant there that helped us sort it out. A work around would be to “exit” the lot on foot then grab a new entry ticket.

The amazing breakfast provided local cuisine in the area allowing us to enjoy meals we wouldn't otherwise get.
The wall a/c was confusing to use.
This hotel is right on par with the Dormy Inn brand. We look for this chain when we travel around mainland Japan. The rooms are always clean and decently-sized for Japanese hotels. The staff are always kind. This particular hotel is less than a 5 minute walk away from Nagano Station and has several fun restaurants in nearby alleys. The baths on the top floor are spacious and offer a great Japanese onsen experience. The breakfast is always a hit with their standard fair of western and Japanese options. This hotel, like the other ones, offer some local dishes as well to try.

A very comfortable stay right next to the train station in Nagano (which was perfect as we travelled around the prefecture). The room was incredibly clean, very comfortable and felt quite private. It overlooked a small street with some izakaya on it - but we had no issues with street noise. We stored our luggage with the staff both prior to check-in and after check-out.
The onsen looked incredible but sadly we could not visit it - as it was not tattoo friendly.
I liked that it was close to Nagano Station. There was a public bath, midnight snacks, bath snacks, etc.
love how close it was to the train station and right next to a 7-Eleven. Onsen was great. Free Ice cream and ramen. Breakfast was the best part delicious beef bowls.
Pillows were a little flat. Onsen was a little crowded
New facilities and.clean rooms. Very attentive staff. Great location almost in front of Nagano station and with easy access to Zenkoji temple. Highly recommend it.
Dorky inn is conveniently located close to Nagano Train Station. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. The onsen and amenities were great. We really enjoyed our stay.
The pillows were very hard but asked for a soft pillow and was available at the front desk.
Good value, excellent hospitality, lovely hot spring baths, great breakfast. Dormy is a solid brand.
Location, public bath and free laundry
Good coffee, comfy beds and great service. Werequested help assistance with the AC and extra pillows.

The location was excellent, right across the street from the train station. Breakfast was very good with many local specialty food. After a Dormy Inn breakfast I don't need lunch. The room was large for a Japanese hotel with a door separating the sink and bathroom area.
There was a sensor that turned on a light near the bathroom which I don't like in the middle of the night. Even with an extra pillow the bed was uncomfortable. The mattress was very firm.
Very close to Nagano station, great onsen and free treats, also free massage on the bath floor.
The bed was very hard and room was smaller than expected for our family. Doors were squeaky.
Hot spring bath, amenities, and ramen, friendly and helpful staff.
I enjoyed the traditional Japanese breakfast, but there was also western style breakfast available. There was a variety of food to be offered. My favorite was that the hotel had an onsen on the 11th floor. They also provided treats throughout the day and Ramen service at night. The location is less than 5 minutes walk to the Nagano station and right next door to 7-11.
I know it’s pretty typical for even luxurious hotels to have small rooms in Japan, but the room did feel tight for us Americans, but it was comfortable enough.
Perfectly located, very close to the trainstation and walking distance for food, shopping and site seeing. Free water, coffee and juices. Nice and clean room. Would recommend this hotel chain.
All was perfect, except for the matras, which was to hard for my back.
Very clean rooms and great onsite amenities. The rooms are small, but we weren't in the rooms much anyway. The onsen was a great way to relax after long days of site seeing and walking. The massage chair was a family favorite! Loved the little touches (pajamas, ice cream, and noodle bar). The location is perfect being so close to the train station and the rooms were quiet.
The pillows are like little bricks. The bed itself was fine - it's on the firmer side, but the pillows were so uncomfortable. The staff was friendly and efficient, but didn't go out of their way like in all the other hotels we stayed in while in Japan.
Nice hotel. Pretty simple and pillows weren't that comfortable but overall it was good. The location was perfect if coming by train. Breakfast was good.
