Karuizawa Asama Prince Hotel

LOVE the cabin!! Location is good, I didn't expect it to be that far from the ski resort. I love that they service on the shuttles are so efficient and fast.

I don't like how the staff treated us during breakfast, which by the way, was too expensive for its quality and number of selections. There was minor mishap when we were paying breakfast, the staff not comprehending us even when we are trying to pay already. The service was slow on this part and made a number of mistakes and was short of patience when we try to communicate with him.

The amenities offered by the hotel.

The communication to express what you want. The Booking.com system is confusing to book accommodations with breakfast. I and my wife booked room including breakfast but ended up paying for my wife. The hotel said I only booked 2 adults for accommodations but only one adult for breakfast. Your website said breakfast included for the stay.

The onsen was nice, but the other people using the facility were very loud and obnoxious.

The staff seemed overworked and less energetic than before.

Beautiful hotel with Onsen where you travel by a small train ( just 1 minute but super fun for kids) from the main building.Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff.coffee making kit in the room was very nice touch

the timing of the restaurant could be more accommodating for people checking in and out at odd hours.

The facilities and staff were fantastic. The lobby was beautiful and warm with a fireplace. The rooms were very nice and the hotel has all rooms facing the best view. My sons and I had fun grinding the in-room provided coffee beans and using the French press every morning. The onsen was FANTASTIC!!!

The main dining facility was only open to members of an exclusive club. I was frustrated by this because it was the only dining option other than room service. I would have really enjoyed the dining as it had a fantastic view and ambiance.

Onsen is great and the view at the hotel surrounding is amazing. The room is clean and comfortable.

Onsen needs to charge small tax

The hotel room was lovely and spacious enough. The breakfast area offers a stunning view of Mount Asama with a lovely food spread. There is a tram ride to take us up to the onsen which was totally unexpected and a fun experience by itself. The onsen was great. Parking was aplenty and complementary. Staff speak great English.

THE BREAKFAST IS GOOD AT NICE DINING ROOM OVERLOOKING GOLF COURSE AND SCENIC TERRAIN. THE LOCATION IS A BIT OFF THE MAIN TOURIST AREAS SO WILL BE BETTER TO DRIVE YOUR OWN CAR.

Very warm and professional services, breakfast is great with beautiful view, will definitely stay again (and play golf :)

This is a hotel located in a country golf club. Facilities first class. Dinner was a 4 course western fine dining.. scallop appetiser done 2 ways, a fish, a meat dish and dessert. Fantastic meal. The half board dinner plan is preferred as prices are at a discount to a la carte prices. Lovely onsen. Beautiful views from room.

This hotel does the important things really well.1) the bed is very comfortable (something you can’t always rely on in Japan!)2) the room is quiet. No noise from neighbours, fans, motors or anything else that could disturb.3) the room is dark. Block out curtains are used and there are minimal annoying little lights that often appear in hotel rooms like bright lights on air con units, light switches etc. The onsen is lovely’s don’t the facilities attached to the onsen are clean and adequate. The staff are friendly and polite. This place is a very comfortable place to stay and I would definitely stay here again.

The baths were nice.

The price for what you gain access to was disappointing. As a 38 year old looking for a relaxing weekend away, I was disappointed with this accommodation. This hotel was clearly geared toward a more senior clientele with a focus on golf and inflated pricing for mediocre return. The staff was beyond peasant but the overall accommodation was dated and lacking in variety. I would not stay here again and would not recommend to others.

Staffs are very helpful. It’s clean, close to shops and other attractions.

Loved being away from the crowd in town and more out in nature. The Onsen up the hill was very beautiful and indeed a highlight. Staff weee so friendly and the cosiest room. Great to be back in Karuizawa again.

location iss a bit far, it takes a bit time for getting a taxi, the hotel’s shuttle is quite ok, but its last trip is 8pm abit early
