- First of all, this is not a typical hotel but more like a club. All staffs are exceptionally friendly to the level that they do beyond what they are supposed to do.Yesterday our car were stuck in the middle of snow storm and told them our situation. At first they told us that we should call JAF but then 10 minutes later, the hotel manager himself, Taniguchi san drove to our car and tried to help us. He brought us back to hotel and then discuss the plan to rescue the car later. In the end with the coordination of all staffs, including Kumasi san and Yasumuro san we (including our 5 yo) managed to survive that night. I think no other hotel can surpass this level of service. We plan to go back to Karuizawa and for sure we want to stay here again because of the warmth of the service. Other things worth to mention:- breakfast that is nutritious and served to your table, including healthy fruit options- onsen that almost feel private. Because they only have 24 rooms then the traffic is not busy at all.- excellent amenities including pajamas, slippers for outside and inside, socks!, facial amenities.
