Pros +
- I loved the open space in the dinning and living area. The place is very spacious. I loved the kitchen that has everything you need. Also, I am a fan of the radiator heat versus the forced air heat.
- Awesome villa. Interesting layout, full kitchen and dining area for 8, 3 kinda 4 separate sleeping areas with 2 bedrooms upstairs with Western style mattresses on the floor(different but ok, better than thin tatami), main level has a huge tatami sleeping area split level with 4 more Western style mattresses. Bathroom with deep tub, 2 WC's, 2 sinks and washing machine. Multiple heating units & racks to dry ski clothes. Not a much around for food or anything really, I liked it, but could be tough without a vehicle.
- The staff was super helpful during the entire stay. Whenever I had a question and messaged them they almost always responded within 5 minutes. During our checkout day, we couldn't find a place to store our luggage and they offered to store it for us free of charge. We also had to catch a train and weren't able to find an Uber, so they gave us a ride to the train station free of charge.
Cons -
- I was hoping there was hand towels in the kitchen, I guess I am used to having this for dish purposes.
- Breakfast can have more options (eggs, bread, miso soup etc)
- We weren’t assigned a villa until after paying and it was non-refundable. Given the pictures show multiple villas and the listing was for one bedroom we figured we’d get a bedroom and then 2 futons in another area. The villa we were assigned had 4 futons all together in a loft area, open to below. Location was a bit outside the main areas but as we had a vehicle it wasn’t a problem but you’d have a hard time getting around without one. The bathroom was tiny. As in elbows touch the shower walls if you’re trying to wash your hair. The bugs are a problem. While common in Japan, this particular type of stink bug has a habit of either dropping onto your bed or trying to hang out in it. We had to vacuum up the bugs daily, and lost some sleep knowing they could be on you. Not much tue property can do about it but they did offer insect spray.

We stayed at the main house and we had a great time. The room was big, very cozy and comfortable, with a view over the ski resort. Beds were very comfortable. We had our own bathroom which was very convenient. Also, there’s a great sauna at the hotel that we used twice. You need a car for a comfortable stay and there’re plenty of parking spots.

It felt very private and it was a good distance to some of the ski hills.

Cozy cottage during snow, staff is friendly and helpful. Well equipped. Shared microwave, laundry, drying room.
The openning time for laundry room is from 8AM to 8PM so you have to arrange your schedule to fit that
The villa was comfy and like a hotel room with all utilities. The staff was super responsive and helped us move to a different villa when our original villa had issues with the toilet not flushing.
The villa we originally booked had toilet issues, so we had to ask the staff to relocate us, which they helped us with on the same day. There were some bugs (but its okay since the villa is made of wood), but our girls had a hard time adjusting.
A beautiful view and good location. Very clean room.
Was a bit unusual, almost like it had opened the day before us getting there, the staff were very nice, given it was snow season, having to go outside to the toilet, and walk 30m to the shower was certainly not luxurious.
It was such a lovely place. Comfortable, spacious and clean. Loved the interior. Host were very helpful with enquiries. We had a wonderful stay here with a group of friends :)
Just the location slightly further to the nearest town and bus station for shuttle buses(depending on the Villa you stayed). I recommend booking a vehicle, it will make your journey more convenient around the places. Other than that, it was all perfect.
Good location in Mizuho. Friendly and helpful staff. Great Japanese whisky behind the bar.
The staff were absolutely amazing! I left myLaptop on the train to Hakuba and they did everything they could to help me find it and get it back. They were so lovely and we appreciate their help in tracking it back for me. There English was great and was such a lovely place to stay. The staff was 10/10. Thank you so much again.
Beautiful log cabins with views of the mountains. Staff were so helpful and lovely !
Nil
the house is big enough for a group of friends to stay
power tripped when appliances using at the sams timepower supply not stable
Staff went above and beyond to sort out transfer while all taxis and users were booked out!The villa M where we stayed was perfect as well! Full kitchen with everything you need
Nothing really.
Bookings.com location showed Reposer within walking distance of echo land and close to shuttles. WRONG. Close to nothing , no shuttles, we had to spend an extra $1000US on a rental car to get around. They admitted their advertising was incorrect and offered a refund but with three days prior to arrival we had no choice but to keep it as nothing else was available. They have since made an attempt to update location. Beware!Accomodation was very old and very basic.
Within 10 mins drive you can reach most ski grounds in Hakuba. Convenience stores and supermarkets are minutes drive away. You have all you need in the property, very comfortable tatami / Futons, the house was kept very warm with efficient heating, even though it was -5c outside with heavy snow. The staff from Reposer kept close communication while did not disturb our privacy. It was deep winter with heavy snow - they cleared our drive way while we were out. Very considerate.
It was well-appointed with all the necessities to live there in a self-contained capacity. It was warm and dry so that our snow gear could dry out overnight. There was space outside so that the children could safely play in all of the snow.
The Reposer Villas are nowhere near the Reposer Hotel (completely disconnected for all intents and purposes), and are quite a distance from any transport. There is no shuttle service from the accommodation provider and the villas operate like a holiday rental. It was a 10 minute walk to Hakuba 47 ski resort, from which shuttles could be caught to other ski resorts. It’s a 10 minute drive or taxi ride to the supermarket. There are no restaurants or food shops nearby. The closest is a Lawson, which is a 25 minute walk away. The Hakuba Demand Taxi does not service this location. I felt that none of this was made clear when booking, which appeared to be a booking for the Reposer Hotel, until a confirmation email with coordinates to the Villa location was sent through.
Nice and warm! Beds were comfortable. Great place to relax after a days skiing
Was a little out of town and not near any bus stops, so we had to walk to 47 to catch a bus.
Cute house, very close to Hakuba 47 , clean house and quiet location.
Unfortunately it doesn’t have a lounge to sit in just a large dining table so nowhere to sit down and relax after a day of skiing. Definately need a car for this house. Also the location of the house that was sent to me was incorrect. The cleaners for the place they sent us too helped us find the property.
Location was good.
Extremely outdated and awful layout in cottage E. Heat could not stay on which left us waking up freezing and an unbearable kerosene smell throughout the house made fora nightmare experience. Attempts were made to fix electricity multiple times and we could not dry our equipment, sleep, or live comfortably the entire time. Will be demanding a full refund. Stay away from this unless you know exactly which cottage you’re getting they are not all equal.
