Hotel Stelle Belle

Staff were friendly. Hotel was cozy, clean, spacious room and walking distance to Goryu Escal Plaza. Option available for public/private onsen facilities, although booking for private is only possible on the day itself and limited to 30min slots from 1730hr-2030hr. Dry room for snow equipment was clean and spacious. Breakfast was tasty and good amount of weatern and japanese options.

Check in has to be done by 9pm.

Great location (10 min walk to skiing, bars and restaurants), good facilities (onsen, place to store skis and wash/dry clothes) it was a no frills place, but it got the job done and the staff took good care of us (getting us rides to the bus stop, helping ship out luggage).

Great location for skiing - walking distance to Goryu. Our room was amazing, we opted for the Executive Double - great choice, very spacious with the biggest bed I've ever seen!

A dedicated place to hang clothes other than ski gear would be helpful - but overall a great experience.

Stelle Belle was the perfect choice for our ski trip. It actually is only a five minute walk from Escal Plaza, even if there’s snow to walk through. We provided our arrival time in the chat the day prior and received a prompt response, our driver was ready and waiting when we arrived at Goryu station which was great as it was dark and there was quite a bit of snowfall.We booked the Western style room with a large double (king size) bed and there was plenty of space - we could have both our suitcases open and still have room to move. The bed itself is super comfy and you get a soft/firm pillow option. There’s basement floor access and lockable storage for all your wet ski gear downstairs, and a vending machine for snacks and drinks, coffee, etc. The outdoor miso tub onsen was perfect after a day on the slopes and 30mins is more than enough as the water is pretty hot. Staff were super friendly and helpful for all our needs and recommended places to eat on a cute hand drawn map of the area. Overall, we loved our stay and would definitely go back!

Large rooms, with en-suite. And rooms were pretty warm too. The staff at the reception were always very courteous and ready to help. She spoke understandable English too, good enough for me!The breakfast buffet was a little pricey, however the spread was really good. They also pick you up and drop you off at the nearby bus station for those coming in the winter season

The staff are very helpful and really nice to us. The breakfast spread is amazing. The Japanese style room set-up and tatamis are super comfortable and clean.

Adorable grandmother greeted us on arrival, helped set the tone. Nice sized rooms and seem as though they were recently renovated. We had a view up the mountain with glimpses of a ski run. Clean property. Good quality linen, mattresses, and pressed yukata for the baths. Ski gear warming room in the basement as is the bath.We found it difficult to get info while planning, so I'm going to share some info that might help.We were coming from Kyoto so took the shinkansen to Nagano then transferred to another train to Matsumoto then a local train (Oito Line) to Kamishiro. This is the closest station to Stelle Bella and they will pick you up from there - it's literally just a few minutes drive away from the property. FYI: There is a bus from Hakuba to Nagano Station takes ~ an hour.Skiing/Riding: 6-7 min walk up the hill to Escal Plaza which is the main center. From here you have access to two ski areas, Goryu and Hakuba47. You will need to take a bus or drive for other areas in the Hakuba Valley. You will need an IC card 500yen for a discounted ski pass which helpfully can be purchased from the front desk of the property. The IC card is refundable at the end of your stay in Hakuba. If wanting better standard ski or boarding gear the rental service on the second floor of Escal Plaza is very good.F&B: Turn left out of the property to our favorite izakaya, "Kamui", just a few minutes' walk away. Excellent service, food, ambience and also well priced.

Well Located, very comfortable and great staff

The property was very close to a major access point for snowboarding. The walk was only 5 min. From there you could get to most other entrances by shuttle.

The main part of town was a bit far, taxis are incredibly hard to get. Other than getting to the gondola for snowboarding it wasn’t that walkable.

The hotel was excellent, great location, staff for so helpful and the breakfast was fantastic. Walking distance from Goryu ski resort and the hotels downstairs facilities for storing all the snow gear was well thought through and laid out.

The bathroom in our rooms was very dated. They could definitely do with an upgrade to the in room bathrooms. Other than that. very happy with the accommodation.
