    Pros +

    • This was a phenomenal stay and might be top favorite hotels during my 2 week Japan trip! The breakfast selection was phenomenal. They offered shuttle bus services to and from the hotel was which was super convenient when it came to coordinating everything with our snowboarding gear. The onsen experience here was also amazing and relaxing. They had decent dinner options here as well . The room was super clean and so was the bathroom. Staff was super friendly and accomodating. They even offered discounted lift tickets to the nearby resort and there is a rental shop right across from the hotel which made everything super convenient. I would definitely come back again and would easily recommend this place to anyone!
    • I was surprised that the front desk staff were not aware of the restaurant reservation I had enquired about through Booking.com, which suggests that customer requests may not be properly recorded in their system
    • We enjoyed our stay at Hakuba Mominoki hotel.Very clean and comfortable room, great service, amazing onsen, good food breakfast and dinner. Good value for money.

    Cons -

    • I cant think of anything off the top of my head
    • Rooms are old, dated, and dusty. I had a dry throat every night while sleeping, which made the stay uncomfortable. The tap was very hard to adjust. Overall, the room did not meet expectations.
    • The WiFi was very slow. In the morning the cleaning ladies were very loud and jarring. The bus stop is not very accessible as you have to walk 20 minutes uphill so it may be difficult getting to restaurants. The free shuttle service was very helpful, however I had to take a taxi to return to hotel.

Very comfortable, king sized bed and spacious room. The staff was attentive and personally drove shuttle to grocery store and Hakuba station for me. The hotel was large and obviously targeted towards the skiing tourists with the decor reflecting that. The natural tap water of the hotel was nice and there was a private rentable Onsen that I unfortunately did not have the time for. The breakfast was large but not the best. The staff was English friendly. Had all the amenities I could ask for. 5-10 minute walk from Happo Gondola Station so great location in terms of that.

The WiFi was very slow. In the morning the cleaning ladies were very loud and jarring. The bus stop is not very accessible as you have to walk 20 minutes uphill so it may be difficult getting to restaurants. Lovely little hotel in hakuba. Nice breakfast. A little rundown but comfortable. Wish there was an onsen.

    9MegPosted on: 3-29-2025

Literally 5min walk to the Kokusai lift at the bottom of one of the pistes for Happo One, so very easy access for skiing. There are free shuttle buses to other ski slopes, such as Goryu, Iwatake and so on. The rental place is on the same premise and you can buy a decent coffee from the rental place if you’re into coffee. The rooms were comfortable and the staff were extremely helpful. The onsen was lovely.

As it was the end of the season, the restaurants nearby were all closed, which meant that we had to go further afield, like Echo Land, to find restaurants that were open. It wasn’t a problem, though, because the hotel provided free buses to and from the restaurants every night.

Everything. A 2 minute drive from the gondola, super generous and helpful staff, amazinggggg decor and room, the onsen is PHENOMENAL. Everything’s so well thought of! The breakfast is so reach and varied. Definitely 10/10 recommended.

Easy location, helpful staff, good consent & rooms. Chill fireplace lounge with piano.

    Buffet dinner was marginal

    10GerardPosted on: 3-13-2025

My wife and I had a wonderful stay here. The bedrooms are quite spacious, good quality Wi-Fi, the lounge area is really lovely and they had a log fires going all day and free coffee. The staff could not have been more helpful—my wife and I are both vegetarian and the buffet breakfast was large and extensive..We were able to rent all of our equipment from the rental shop right beside the hotel and it literally is a four minute walk to the bottom of the chairlift.

Front desk staffs were fantastic, helpful and friendly, most of them speak very good English. The hotel provide shuttle services to near by restaurants in the evening, no problems with dinner option.

Breakfast is very basic, every morning serving same food.

    Beautiful lobby and bar area.

When you went to the steak station at the buffet ($50) you were given 2 little slivers of steak. When l went back for more l was almost regarded with disdain. The room is no different that hotels l paid half the price for.

Great location Onsen is Great Staff very helpfull

Email telling us about 10% discount on hire gear came too late for us to use this should be sent as soon as booking is made. Front desk explanation of shuttle bus was a bit confusing

    9ChinPosted on: 12-31-2024

Lovely design, warm and cozy feel

Restaurants opening hours not flexible. Totally closed in the afternoon. We went down for lunch late, at 2pm and everything’s closed.

    9NicolePosted on: 12-25-2024

    Friendly staff

The tatami bedding might not be change completely from previous customer use, with the smell and human hair left on the pillow case.

    7PadaraPosted on: 11-11-2024

Staff can speak English. Onsen is good. Breakfast is a plus.

The hotel was kinda aged or you can call it classic ?

    9HelenPosted on: 10-31-2024

Helpful and friendly counter staff, Thanks to Ms Bobo who gave very detailed explanation of hotel facilities and helped us in upgrading our rooms. Shuttle bus to Hakuba Iwatake mountain resort & Tsugaike outside the hotel and discounted gondola tickets are good points for hotel guests.Overall a memorable experience for our 3 nights stay in this nice and cozy hotel.

it would be good if free coffee or tea could be served for hotel guests at the lobby like what other hotels do.
