What breakfast? I liked the location and the price was OK

Hard to figure out the electronics and lighting.

Location. The staff in upstairs bar were exceptional. We used the bath on the terrace to sit on! Number of comments we felt were harsh, our experience was clean & comfortable.

Lack of drawers. Ended up laying clothes out on floor. Noise from bath tub upstairs draining out. Especially late at night.

I went to Gwangju on business and needed a nice place to stay for work. This hotel was perfect for that because the location and a spacious, attractive room! Highly recommended!!

Great location, good bus links and near Dongmyeong- dong and art street area. Very clean.

Sterile. Rooms were weird (you sleep in a glass box, possibly because of the mosquito issue?).

The location is terrific. Easy to walk around interesting part of the city. Parking was easy.

There was a slight misunderstanding. I reserved a room with a « terrace and city view ». The trip was for my spouse’s birthday and I was picturing us sitting with a glass of wine on our « terrace ». Terrace in fact meant a large extra room carpetted with astro-turf filled by a giant marble bathtub. No doubt also lots of fun but not practical - it would take hours to fill. There was only one chair to sit on. So a bit disappointing. And the AC was a huge unit right over the bed - too cold to have on and no air circulating if it was off. So « Design » hotel looked good but is not so practical.

Friendly and helpful staff, good location with restaurants next door and a shop across. There was a fridge and lovely size of room. Comfortable bed.

I saw a dead bed bug and my husband was bitten by small insects flying around the table lamp next to his side of the bed. We didn't ask to change the room as we were so tired and the night staff, although helpful, did not have much English. Also, the marble bath tub on the balcony is probably a good idea for younger people but was not mentioned in the room description when I booked online. Since it was advertised as a balcony suite, we thought it would be a balcony with chairs we could sit on and look out. The empty bath tub was actually dangerous for people arriving at night as one could fall into it and get hurt.

The location next to the Asian Cultural Center and in the shopping district. Easily attainable if you're coming from Gwangju KTX Station with the direct subway.

This stay was a test as I am a Travel Designer working for a High-end company and I was so disappointed by everything that I don't even know where to start. Staff was rude and snobbed us, because we're foreigners or because our looks? I don't know but they were judging us by the looks the whole time (but guess what Mistery Shoppers do? ;) . Plus, they can barely speak English which could be OK if it wasn't because the city wants to expand to the rest of the world and foreign visitors... The features of the room are not practical, lights are located in places you don't need them, doors open on the wrong side especially in the bathroom which is splitted in 2. Breakfast was short on choices and repetitive, hallways are so dark and cold it seems you're entering a dungeon. This is a hotel who wants to be Arty and pretend has high standards but they fall short in everything. So we will continue working with Culture Laam, much better services and experience overall and just in front of the ACC.

    The room itself was spacious.

If you are driving to this hotel, think twice. The entrance to the hotel is extremely hard to get to and the parking facilities inadequate. The staff were unhelpful about giving directions when the main road to the hotel was blocked due to a city event. The bathroom was poorly designed- making it hard to take a shower.

Comfortable attractive hotel in a great location in Gwangju. Bed comfy. We had breakfast2 out of 3 mornings which was reasonable price and provided extensive choice.

    Spacious room

You see the styler from the photos but there is NO styler in the room. It is misleading. Pp

Good location: close to the Asian Cultural Center, many local restaurants, metro stations and bus stops .

No laundry service and no place for guests to do laundry themselves.

Not much, i would say the best thing to do is not to stay here

It was dirty, dark and the whole hotel had a strange smell. I woke up to bites all over my face and body which im sure are bed bugs even though the staff said they dont have any, they do. It was a very uncomfortable night in a grotty room with bed bugs. I wish id booked somewhere else.

    9GunhildPosted on: 6-22-2024

The staff were helpful, polite, following up on requests. Large rooms, large bathrooms, quiet hotel. Nice design throughout the entire place. I even liked the bar, though it was completely empty, bar us - pun intended.Once outside, you are right in the middle of a lively area, shopping, food, culture, all right there.

It’s starting to show signs of wear and tear, but only just. Also, but that’s simply part and parcel of the city layout-out, since it is close to the Asia Culture Complex and the Sajik Park area, it is a schlepp to the other side of town, Museum of History etc…

Very large room with modern design. Location is close to shopping district, eating places, and the culture centre of Gwangju. Staff is very helpful.

location is great. alot restaurants and fashion stores like nike, zara etc right next to the hotel. very easy transportation access as the subway station was a block away. and taxi pick up area were also a block away

Warning to you guys, be careful about getting scammed on the hotel bill by this hotel's reservation system. after i reserved my stay here through Booking.com a few days before my arrival the hotel sent me a message via their Booking.com account to prepay the reservation before my arrival. so after i paid and few days later i arrived at the hotel and the hotel management tells me that they were not paid and that i need to pay. i said what do you mean. you guys sent me a message to prepay. so they do some investigating and they tell me someone hacked their account and sent me a message and that they have similiar issues in this past. and im like what?! so if you knew about it why didn't you close your account down or tell booking.com to warn customers!! and they had no answer other then sorry. and so they said if i don't pay again i can't stay at the hotel. so with no choice since no other place to sleep i paid. now that im back home in my country im fighting with my bank and the hotel to dispute the charge as the hotel is pushing back that its not their fault. with that said i also have to mention lighting in the room was terrible. the hotel seem to give off a love hotel vibe so the lighting was really dim even with all the lights on. and hardly any lamps so cannot even see to read a book etc. just bad design. also, the interior of the room was dirty. the couch and walls and desk and chairs had tears, scuff marks etc. basically the place just isn't kept up to date and you can tell wear and tear vs what you see in the hotel booking.com profile pictures.

The location is fantastic, with lots of food and shops right beside the hotel. Walking to the subway is like 5 minutes away. Water pressure and temperature are stable and constant.

The 2 given pillows (1 big and 1 small) are hard and not comfortable. The quilt is also too small in size.

Front staff friendly and helpful. Good location for first time visitors to Mokpo.

Restaurant closed Sunday night. We enjoyed a drink and light supper Saturday night at the 11th floor lounge.
