good location clean and staff is excellent will travel there again

Wow the Holiday Inn in Gwangju is amazing. The breakfast bar is the best ever! The quality and vast choices of the food is really remarkable. The rooms are so clean, The entire hotel is a model of excellence. The fitness center and pool are impressive.

The Holiday Inn Gwangju by IHG was in an excellent location. There were several restaurants and cafes nearby. My tour guide said that she met her clients at the hotel often for tour pickups. The staff was helpful and attentive when I asked questions. They called a taxi for me when it was time to leave and were courteous at checkout. The bathroom was spacious and the beds were comfortable. I especially liked that there was a small convenience store located inside the hotel. It was perfect for quick snack and small item purchases. Great idea!

If you decide to eat in the restaurant for breakfast and did not make breakfast reservations when booking your room, go to the desk first to let them know you want breakfast. I decided to get breakfast the first morning of my stay, was seated at a table, and then told I had not made breakfast reservations when I booked my room. I had to go to front desk to correct. Small inconvenience, but easily solved. Breakfast was excellent. Thank you.

Max, the Concierge, was amazingly helpful. He went well beyond ordering taxis and answering questions. His help has lead to a successful trip back to Korea. The hotel rooms, the breakfast, and the artwork was wonderful.

There was absolutely nothing to dislike about the property.

The breakfast buffet had a huge choice from English and American style to Traditional Korean. The staff went beyond helping me navigate the gluten free choices to daily getting some bread/ bun from the freezer and finding the pack of Gf cornflakes for me. The coffee was very good too.The room was clean, comfortable and spacious.The location was quite central and walking distance from the Metro. Also opposite Conference Centre.

There were a few things in the room that didn’t work - the USB port and the safe. We did let them know about them.Not a fan of Dove products for the bathroom either but understand that is a brand they probably use for all the Holiday Inn hotels.The carpet in the hallways are stained and dated and probably need replacing soon.

Great overall, one the stuff speaks frequent English, which helps a lot in place like gwangju. Despite an old-fashion interior, the room is pretty good. It’s near a 518 theme park if that’s what you intend to visit.

Far from the centre district of gwangju and the subway station and subway is usually less frequent like Seoul. The room looks like it’s from last century

The hotel was very nice,i was going for business and it was opposite the location...I guess it's far from the town ... yet i had fun at night with the beer festival that took place 2 nights in a row and food stalls near by...the staff was so helpful booking our transportation to seoul..

It’s walking distance (opposite) to KimDaeJung Convention Centre. Metro is also nearby. There is also convenience store next to the lobby. We loved the room as it’s cosy & comfortable during the trip.

Very modern, clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly. The pool was very good and well maintained. Location is also good and only a short walk from the subway.

A little expensive in my opinion, especially as breakfast is at an extra cost.

We booked 2 rooms as we were a family of 5, they were good enough to provide us with connecting rooms and a free extra bed. The rooms were a bit small but they were clean and comfortable. The hotel is not very close to major tourist sites, but taxi is affordable, and there are closeby buses that can be accessed as well.

Not many shops or restaurants within walking distance

I liked the great selection for breakfast to choose from. There are lots of Korean and European breakfast options. I liked the quality and quantity. I liked the special wall clock in the lobby.

Close to the train station, it was a spacious, clean room and the staff were lovely. There was netflix on the TV which is great because so many hotels force you to watch their crappy paid channels. Big thanks to Mr Max Lee at the concierge. He was so helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Bonus of having a convenience shop attached to the hotel too.

I wish I could stay longer.

Room was spacious. Bed was comfortable. Having both bathtub and shower. Water pressure was good. Free breakfast was good too.

Staffs do not speak English. Have to depend on translation app.

Prior to the Holiday Inn I stayed at a 4-star hotel in Seoul and a 3-star in Suwon, and based on the overall experience this is my favourite hotel to date!?The staff were friendly and informative upon check-in, the room was superb and had everything I needed and more. It was the only hotel I've stayed in so far that has face cloths (flannels).I loved the art work and self-playing piano in the lobby, as well as the available eateries. So impressed with this hotel!

Best of all, Max (can't remember his korean name) at the concierge helped me so much on 7/31 to help me find a bus to Busan. Without his help I would have missed my entire Busan trip. Thank you!

They upgraded us to the biggest suite, which was a surprising touch. We checked in late at around 8.30pm where most restaurants were closing due to the covid restrictions. The staff helped us to order food delivery (fried chicken). Beds were comfy.

location - i assume this area is mainly for business travellers, not a lot of shops around.

Breakfast was much better than I expect. Lots of choices and coffee and musli was great.

Bathroom lights were little too dark. And oh my hair dryer was broken already. I had to be careful to not get electric shock.
