Pros +
- This was the second time I stayed here. It’s a good comfy hotel. Big rooms with all facilities. Staff is nice and hotel is good for solo or business travellers.
- The staffs. Only.
- (1) Its location - it is located right in the middle of west district (seo-gu) of Gwangju city where there are streets of cafe, pubs, restaurants and convenience shops at every corner. There are some shopping malls within walking distance. There seems to be endless supply of food into late nights. (2) The rooms are big, especially the suite (50m2), with very comfortable bed, working amenities, strong water pressure and bidet. Housekeeping was good too. Ample parking at its 3 basement car parks and free parking for hotel guests.
Cons -
- Smell of smoke in the lobby and basically all public area (coming from the open fire place); Can’t open windows in the room - way too warm
- Limited English channels in TV. I think it’s a little over priced. But ok if it doesn’t pinch you a lot
- I got cheated? There's no fitness, no spa. The wardrobe in the room have cracking sound. I was given a room that have to turn into a dark corner surrounded by staff toilet and storeroom.

(1) The air conditioning was weaker in our suite room compared to the premium twin room (36m2). This might be due to just 1 single blower for such a big room and the beds were located at the far end of the room.
Room was clean and got cleaned everyday. Big TV and that's it
Breakfast was same everyday and waiters harass you if you are continuing eating after 9:30. They sell razor and toothbrush where its free on other hotels even cheaper ones give it for free. There's no SPA even tho bookings page says there is one. They said they closed it due to covid which makes no sense in 2024. The sink in bathroom is horribly placed. When you use the sink your feet get wet and whole floor slippery.Overall there are cheaper yet better hotels. Don't get fooled by the name of Ramada. This hotel isn't worth the price they ask.
Size of room and bathrooms (we booked the next room up from the standard room). It was also in a great location near lot's of restaurants and bars so can just walk around. Staff were great
Some of the furniture is slightly dated but that is the style i guess.
Large, clean, comfortable room
No microwave in the room
Everything was nice seriously, room, foods, outside cleaning and the staff was kind and professional ☺️
Staff very friendly. Even with limited English they went out of their way to help us get around to our destinations.
Location, personal and view are excellent. Even though there were same cons, it was a really pleasant stay.
The bathroom and some furniture need refurbishment. I couldn’t open shower’s door as the gap between them and floor was too narrow – the first day experience.
Very nice hotel. great location. good size rooms.
Gym could be better but hotel is still good value
we stayed there before the pandemic and it felt quality but this time around the place looked a bit tired
in the room, it felt like it needed a touch up, especially the bathroom
Great location, in the heart of Gwangju city, a lot of bars and cafes around~ Nice lobby interior with a camping fireplace in the center. Nice buffet breakfast, too.
