Pros +
- Beautifully landscaped and designed eco-resort with chic rustic style; it seemed to have more authenticity/character/style than many other resorts we saw in the area. The main reception/restaurant area and the pools are gorgeous! It’s about a six minute walk downhill to the Jan Thiel Beach area, which is very nice and has a lively party scene on weekends, but keep in mind that Jan Thiel is a highly developed beach that can be a bit loud/crowded at times, so depending on your interests that could be a positive or a negative (it’s not a postcard-perfect natural beach setting like you see on other parts of the island). We really appreciated the hotel’s emphasis on sustainability, and we thought the food at the restaurant was fabulous. It also seemed like a great choice for families, with a kids menu and one of the pools designated as a family pool. Overall, a very comfortable stay and a great choice if you are looking for a unique, stylish, and eco-conscious hotel on the east side of the island.
- Clean, nature, different pool, quiet and very relaxing.
- Rustic, spacious, private. Beautiful nature setting with lots of tropical birds.
Cons -
- No soap in the bathroom, but that was not a big deal. Jan Thiel was not our favorite beach, but it might be perfect for people who want an easy beach experience with plentiful amenities!
- Only downside was the frogs and cockroaches in the toilets/shower. Every night.
- The whole “eco” thing seems performative or a way to cheap out on certain things. Having to press the button on the shower every 30 seconds to keep it on was annoying.

Clean, seemed relatively new. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room layout was good, and the outdoor space was large.

Fuego restaurant
Our room, the distance to the front desk, spiders, mosquitoes, cleaning each 3 days, light inside the room (like a jale), pillows don’t allow to sleep or take a rest, towels really old and small, tv size, old furniture, beds separated for a couple….unbelievable !!!
Everything was great. Staff was very helpful, accommodation is very comfortable. The area is very nice. Although the resort was fully booked, it was still quiet and peaceful

comfortable appartments, nice swimming pools and an excellent restaurant on site
the appartments were quite close to each other which caused some noise
Excellent staff, always happy to help. Nice vegetation kept the walkways cool. Nice pool area, never felt too crowded. short walk to the beach and supermarket, you can also rent a car at the resort to really get the most out of the island
We had lots of mosquitoes. Strong repellent was needed specially if you wanted to enjoy the terrace.
great apartment great swimming poolsfriendly, helpfull staffclose to supermarketclose to jan thiel beachpizza delivery on site
beds were pretty bad (small, short, slippery: uncomfortable that's all!
the pool was nice to sit by amongst the trees.the wats app function to ask questions
unsure of how a number of items worked- most items on line- but some areas not described very well
Friendly staff, property very clean, super location.Family friendly, very safe.Delicious pizza.
The food from Fuego restaurant.
It was quite and very relaxing.I love the porch.
The bed and tv
The terrace was quite big. You get dishwashing tabs and clean cloths. The pools and rooms are clean.
Its too far from the beach to walk and there are other options much better located for a better price. Staff at the reception was partly very unmotivated, the beds are small and move around. The kitchen is well equipped but not made for cooking at all since there is only one plug for all electric devices and no space at all for cutting or storing. No hangers in the apartment or bath and very little storage which makes you feel uncomfortable since everything looks messy as soon as you open your suitcase. Can’t recommend.
It was just great to have a quiet place be with the family for those days. The pool was in our back yard, restaurant 1 min walk, beach Janthiel 3 min walk and we got free entry with our stay. The service was great.
Good
The service ar the front desk. I had a late checkout that i told them from the begining and they did not enter the time in the system so i had to walk to the front desk to tell them that.
kids loved the pool area, service was okthe restaurant could use a better cook. food was horrible
the morning indoor buffet....
Staff was super helpful! On check-out day we were offered a "shower" room which could be used in the afternoon to get ready to go to the airport.
I stay here every single year. it is such a beautiful resort surrounded by nature.
I liked everything about this hotel
Location was great. Very peacefull.
The front door of our room unit is of glass. No privacy
The garden is very good taken care of just like the rest of the place.
Everything was amazing.
