    Pros +

    • We needed to be in Hashimoto for a few days, and this turned out to be a good hotel. The rooms were big enough with a proper height tables and chair for working on a laptop. In many Japanese hotels the chairs and tables are low and break my back and neck to get any work done. The onsen (or bath facilities) were great, perfect for soaking travel-weary bodies. The included breakfast was good and the hotel had free bicycles for excursions. The town of Hashimoto doesn't have a lot to offer tourists, but big groups of Japanese hikers came through the hotel each day, so if you're on a hiking expedition, this hotel is near a lot of trails and mountain walks. The area is surrounded by persimmon orchards and we borrowed bikes and rode through the farm areas at harvest time. It was a nice break during the day. If I had any reason to return to Hashimoto, this is the hotel I'd stay at. For a business traveler it gave me everything I needed, included a better table to work at than any other I experienced in Japan.
    • The on site onsen was nice. Breakfast was ok.
    • Simple room, good price, easy check-in. It was basic and met our needs for our 1 night stop over.

    Cons -

    • We have only positive comments about the hotel, its facilities, and its staff.
    • The AC wouldn’t turn on with the remote. I had to climb up to turn it on. There were no directions on how to work the AC remote; I had to Google/Youtube to figure it out. The room was very small for the price.
    • No issues with the hotel. The location wasn't ideal for what we were doing, but there wasn't anything in our price range near Koyasan, so it was a good compromise.

There's Osho in front of the hotel.

I paid quite a bit more for a queen room but the bed was against a corner of the room, which meant I had to climb in and out of the bed.I understand the bathroom is a typical one for Japanese units but so tiny. Other hotels have a more traveller-friendly set-up.Not enough parking spaces. We didn't drive out for dinner in fear of losing our spot.Breakfast menu is very strange. I wonder how many people would truly prefer mapo tofu and/or curry to typical breakfast choices? Having a large variety of bread does not compensate for the lack of butter and other breakfast staples.

Kind staff, great breakfast, quiet, walkable to dinner options

A little bit far for my older parents from the two train stations but a taxi was inexpensive

The hotel is around 18 min walk to kii shimizu station. I like the early breakfast buffet (start from 6.45am) which enables me to start my hiking earlier. The menu is different everyday during my 6-day stay. Great teabag and coffee making machine at the lobby. Convenient 24 hour reception desk and nice Onsen bath. I especially love the body shower available in my room which smells super good!! Lastly please try the tsukemen ramen nearby which is really awesome and relatively cheap.

Was really pleased with this hotel. Easy walking distance to a station going to/from koyasan. My single room was bigger than expected with a bigger bed than expected. Didn't realise it had a public bath until I arrived but really enjoyed that.Had a brilliant ramen restaurant within easy walking distance. There is also a bus service to Hashimoto station within a short walk.

The fact there are smoking room areas. You can still smell it in the corridor despite the double doors. The breakfast didn't have any kind of cereal option.

breakfast and breakfast staff were excellent

The front desk staff could not or would not assist by putting a small freezer block in the freezer overnight

    No non smoking rooms available

    9AnnaPosted on: 2-17-2025

Great breakfast, quiet and well equipped room

Within walking distance from Hashimoto station, but if you have luggage, take a taxi from the station

We rented a wrong room type for two person and the staff was very understanding and helpful to change the room. The breakfast was delicious and the kitchen staff very nice. A lot of parking space.

    Friendly staff. Cleanliness of room.

A little far from the station. Had to catch a taxi to reach hotel. Breakfast was mainly Western with not many other choices

It fit the purpose, it is a stop over hotel after you spend the day in Koyasan. Is good value for money but nothing spectacular, the internet is good and it have a public bath with is always niceThe staff is very good especially the lady’s in the restaurant during breakfast

    The breakfast was not good

    8PaulPosted on: 10-20-2024

Location is convenient to start to pilgrimage to Koyasan Staff was helpful and speak great englishBreakfast was available from early in the morning and was very good Nice public bath

The bed was not particularly confortable, especially the blanket cover that felt really like "plastic"
