Wakayama Urban Hotel

This was a really great hotel in every respect except for one big problem, which ruins all the efforts for the staff to provide a quality stay. The other guests near our room were obnoxiously loud…We have been to Japan thirty times now, we have never experienced guests like these in the neighboring rooms having conversations like these where they were screaming for hours. It seemed the noise was coming from above us despite the quiet room when we first went to sleep. We wee in room 807…

Other than the awful guests noise, this was a perfect hotel.

The breakfast has many choices-western and local dishes. A well spread breakfast. like hotdog, toast bread, orange juice, good coffee, salads. The view was great from the cafeteria and many tables and chairs to sit.

Everything was great and up to my expectation. However, only a very hard working waiter in charge of the breakfast.

The room was spacious, plenty of space to put your luggage. The bed was big and comfortable. The breakfast was nice and varied. The location was excellent, only a few minutes from Wakayama JR station and a Seven-Eleven convenience store.

The TV is an at awkward placement, away from the bed.

The staff was very caring. Despite the language barrier that we had, they were very understanding.

The breakfast could use a variety, it was the same everyday.

It was cheap and easy to find. You pay what you get. It's an ok hotel.

The parking is a coin parking.And if you are not prepared the room is not dark enough so you wake up and the bed wasn't super comfortable.

Hotel is well located with a Family mart nearby. The train station is only a few minutes walk away, which is the main reason i booked this place. Breakfast is fine, but as we came a bit late (after 8.30am) most of the food is finished. Overall we are quite satisfied with the hotel.

Room could be upgraded (modernised) but overall is clean and good. International TV channels could be available would be better.

Pleasant

Overall, the experience match with the price. The staff lacks the ability to communicate even in basic English, sometimes kinda rude. They spoke everything in Japanese and think okay job is done eventhough they clearly know you don't understand at all.Hotel has parking, but it is paid-parking for 1000 yen. Didn't expect that.

I love our room. It was much bigger than most Japanese hotel rooms and had a spectacular view of Wakayama Station and beyond. The breakfast had a nice mix between western and Japanese style so can get a bit of both ?

The staff are friendly and helpful. The room is clean and well-lit. The location is very good, very near to JR.

The bed is too small for 2 people and it'd be better if there was a small desk beside the bed and more cloth rack.

Clean and comfortable room with a nice city view. Good location right next to train station. Great staff that speak English. Delicious breakfast.

Very good place to stay, a bit far from touristy spots though but you can take the bus very easily. It's close to the JR station, so you can go around without any problem.

The location is very convenient. Only 3 mins walk from train station. Not sure why some feedbacks say the breakfast is simple. Actually the breakfast is quite good with food and drink options especailly when you consider the reasonable price of this hotel.

Just a block away from JR station, with a 7-11 around the corner. It is better value than the more premium station-front hotel but not at all less in quality. Everything was clean and well-maintained. The front desk staff were polite and helpful, we managed to ask about sending our luggage by courier using simple English words. There is coin laundry (laundry powder provided and has a dryer)

The room only has a single-leaf window and the dark-coloured interior might not be everyone's cup of tea, but these didn't bother us.

A nice hotel with everything you need.

We could not add a friend to our room for one night and they were laughing at us for even trying, suggesting to of course pay and were not helpful at all.
