    Pros +

    • Staff were helpful and friendly.
    • Ocean Views of Naruto Bridge n the mountains splendid with sunset! Open air onsen spring bath is very gentle n temp just nice.
    • Really enjoyed our stay. They had a meet and greet in the lounge area which included free beer, wine and some spirits, plus simple snacks. Hotel room was dated. Felt like I was on an 80's cruise ship but the view from the room was fantastic. The room was clean, large and well appointed. Onsen was fantastic.

    Cons -

    • We stayed for 4 nights but they only did housekeeping for the first night. For the remaining days, they did not clean up the room at all. They only left a bag of clean towels for onsen/bathing and toilet roll at our doorknob.
    • Nowhere within an hour’s drive will u find another place to eat for dinner. Only 1 restaurant at resort for meals; Breakfast:Lunch/Dinner n the q system is weird via LINE n QR Code. Even if the place is half empty, they will NOT let u IN!Don’t go if u have no car or someone familiar to drive as winding road to resort with narrow 2 way traffic; quite scary at times!Left a plug n they found it. Asked for simple mail service n a charge of JPY960 is imposed regardless u are a member or not. U spend $1k at the resort n they willNot even send by mail within same country a plug to u without charging! DOn’t expect any English when the foreign Mgr on Duty is not at work! The bathroom is a safety hazard as it is higher than the room floors. So easy to trip!
    • We could not use the pool as it was closed on the day we were there. We had to eat at the buffet (all you can eat. booze included) for an extra fee. There are no other places to eat. The buffet was really good but felt a little trapped by this.

Onsen was very nice. Staff was super friendly. Buffet was good.

Location without a car is difficult to access.

Super good resort, we went during the end of our 6 weeks of Japan trip. After all the crazy walking days, it is well deserved to just relax in the onsen and do some simple day activities. We love the baby room where our 7month baby spent many hours playing at. Food is also great, we chose both breakfast and dinner. Best way to come here is by car, but we managed with the highway bus from Maiko. And taxi from Fukura to the hotel is only 1400yen very convenient. Many Japanese family travel here for one day stay. The Onsen is fantastic we enjoyed so much. Maybe we will come back again, but next time we come by car :)

The breakfast queue is very long if you don’t come when it’s open. But they have a queue system so you can wait somewhere else and get notification via email.

Very friendly staff members, comforting smell in the lounge, free welcome drink bar, cleanliness, big variety of breakfast buffet, great view from the room, great location, luxury skin care amenities in the public bath.

If they had water servers available 24h, that’d be great.

We stayed here overnight on a road trip. The room was very spacious and modern. The buffets for dinner & breakfast were abundant. The onsen and rest areas whilst busy were spacious and clean. Our only issue was our booking selection did not include the dinner. The price charged at the front desk was over double the price at Yen 8,600 per person.

    There was nothing

Great amenities including the onsen and rotenburo. Loved the snacks and drinks bar in the arvo and the late night alcoholic drinks bars for adults. Magnificent room with so much space and wonderful views. Hotel with a great location near Fukura town and the bridge to Shikiku

We went in Winter so didn’t get to enjoy all of the facilities such as the swimming pool and the walking trails

In regards to the Hotel itself, nothing really.

I am living in Japan for quite long and overall stating about 30 nights plus per year in Hotels. This was an absolute disappointment and when looking at what we paid (around 1600 USD), the worst Hotel ever in Japan. We do travelled during peak season so it might be cheaper during regular times but the Hotel was so busy that we would have needed to wait over an hour, just to get the breakfast we have paid for, just to then be told that after the wait is over, breakfast will be closed anyways. Also, when staying at a Hotel I expect that if they have a restaurant that there is enough capacity to serve its own guests. I mean sure, certain options can be sold out at times but there was literally no option to get anything to eat for lunch or dinner in or around the hotel. Being on an Island with little population, we were lucky that we came by car and were able to drive towards the city but for people just arriving their by bus, you honestly are screwed or have to take a 40 minutes walk. If this Hotel would have costs half or less then perhaps I would not say anything but charging Premium, you kinda expect to get something in return which was sadly not the case. Really can not recommend.

Fantastic view! Great welcome with free beer and snacks. Very comfortable bed and room.

Breakfast so crowded and noisy. Had to wait in hotel room for a message on our phone to finally return to dining room after checking in an hour earlier! Rushed to eat our breakfast with a only a few minutes left.No microwave in the whole hotel for guests to use.. not even on a floor! Gave up waiting 30 minutes for front desk to microwave just 2 bentos for us from behind their counter.

Good place to relax. Nice outdoor onsen. And big rooms. Great breakfast.

The rooms were not spotless. Tiny bathroom. Just one large towel and seemingly random yukata parts (no belts on one, no trousers on the others). The onsen was ok, but apart from that there wasn't really much else to do.
