    Pros +

    • The onsen on site was extremely good, it's worth staying there just for the onsen alone. We are grateful to the staff for bringing us three chairs to the room, because we were tired of spending time on the floor :-)
    • A lot of public bath and restaurants. Friendly staff.
    • I wish there was english translations for the posters in the public bath as mobiles are not allowed in there to help with the translationsOverall it was a great relaxation to be in

    Cons -

    • Small room. Absence breakfast.
    • The a/c was set to Heat in every room and it made it really hot in there. The window opened though so it wasn't horrible but still quite uncomfortable, especially during the day when the sun was facing the room. I find it irritating that it's advertised as having controllable A/C but it wasn't actually guaranteed. Location is not super convenient- 20 minute walk from the station and not all extremely pedestrian friendly areas so make sure you know how to order a taxi to get from the station to the hotel if you're coming in at night or with luggage. You had to give your room key to the desk anytime you left, which wouldn't really be an issue except sometimes the line at reception gets very long. Not great pillows
    • There is a free shuttle bus to the nearest station but I didn’t mind walking. There’s two convenience stores and a bakery on the walking route.

Staff cannot speak English but tried their best to use the translation device and hands gestures. If you want to experience public bath, this is the way to go. No bath in your room. Only toilet and sink. Location is great. Food is lovely. The view is phenomenal. Will definitely visit again.

Really fun place to stay! Definitely oriented towards an older crowd and the location is a bit off the beaten path but the rooms were nice and there was so much to do between the baths, the multiple restaurants, the arcade, gift shop, etc. The baths were fantastic- I've never been any place have such a huge variety of bath types, rooms, saunas, etc. It was really incredible. The view from the room was stunning. Shuttle to the stations nearby every hour, but it is also walkable albeit not super convenient. Incredible views of Mt. Fuji in the surrounding areas. The room was decently comfortable and had its own private toilet and sink. I stayed to visit the Miho Pine Forest and to see Obuchi Sasabo, which were both wonderful.

It has a lot of different baths so it’s never too crowded even at busy times. Nice views of Mt Fuji from the room floors and the outdoor baths. They have a lot of restaurants inside the building as well.

There is a free shuttle bus to the nearest station but I didn’t mind walking. There’s two convenience stores and a bakery on the walking route.

facility has lots of different pools to soak into. location is great for viewing Mt. Fuji and ocean.

bit too far from train station but they do have shuttle bus

Onsen is huge with many facilities, the rooms are in a fair state considering how old the hotel is.The reception staff doesn't speak English but did their best to communicate. The hotel is barefoot only. You may see Fuji from the higher floors on a good day.

The "Pool area " is working only during the weekends and it's more like a kid's attraction, not clear if it's paid additionally for hotel guests! This is not made clear in the listing. If you are not an Onsen person this might be an issue. This is an actual Public Bath which means the Onsen is accessed by external customers all the time and could be a little busy at times.

This is part of a onsen franchise and it’s very helpful to have all toiletries and pijamas ready to use. But for foreigns, please be aware that this is a traditional onsen and baths are at shared areas, and not all signs are in english. Check-in and check-out were very smooth and staff is extremely helpful.

The hotel/spa is a short walk from the station, but can be tought if you have luggage with you. Signs were mostly in japanese, but staff was more than happy to help with my questions.

Very local. Nice breakfast. Nice and big onsen facilities. Good variety of restaurants. Nice view. Service minded staffs. Even though they don’t speak English but they try using application to serve their best. Excellent system and process to serve lots of guests.

Spacious bathing area, and felt like time travel back to Showa days!

No in room shower facilities, bed was hard and air conditioner was ineffective. Nice facilities but overcrowded.

    The mountain view.

First of all, the hotel is about 1.2kms walk from the nearest train station. We arrived tired from carrying our luggage and just wanted to go to the room and take a shower. We were promptly told, ( via google translate, given that the staff did not speak English ) that no guests with tattoos were allowed in the public baths. We said no problem because we wanted to go to the room and take a shower and we asked if our room had a bath. The staff told us that our reservation was with a shared bath so we asked for a room with a bath and that we did not mind paying extra for the bath in the room. The staff agreed and charged us extra, to later find out when we arrived in the room that the room had just a toilet seat! not a bath! worst of all, me and my partner have visible tattoos and the staff said that that we were strictly forbidden to walk in any common areas in the hotel if any tattoo was showing. That means, our stay was inside a room, where the sheets, the walls and the shades had visible stains, the air conditioner had probably never been cleaned and was full of dust and grind, the tv cables were stripped and could easily cause electrocution. We did not even had a good night sleep given that the bed was very soft and we could hear every single car passing on the freeway ( the hotel is right next to one ). We advise all future guests to just take a good look around in the reception area, because if you just look up, you can clearly see just how filthy the hotel is and the care and attention they give to their guests and commodities.

    Public bath was very nice

The air conditioning throughout the building and especially in our room was very poor, whole building smelled like smoke, massage chairs were very worn

    10YvonnePosted on: 8-28-2023

The onsen is excellent. There is so many to choose from. As for the food, there is a very good selection and it's reasonably priced. There is a restaurant at the top level where you may see Mount fuji on a clear day.

There is really nothing around the hotel to sight see. Fortunately, it has a free shuttle to okitse and shimizu stations so that you can still go sight seeing at nearby nihondera, miho, bay mall, Shizuoka station... BTW, There is a free shuttle by s pulse dream mall to the mall (from shimizu station).

Izakaya is nice. Good and friendly staffs. Good place to drink beer.

Non-smoking room but smells of smoke. Very hard for a rhinitis sufferer.

Shuttle bus service from JR station, nice gift shop, various restaurants and spas

Couldn’t take a walk on beach

Very good food in the local restaurants which are open until late; very good staff; very clean.

Men onsens and outside baths are way worst compared to Women ones.Very crowdy, even during the weekdays.

    2RonaldPosted on: 4-26-2023

    The Onsen was really good.

I didn't felt well there. The Hotel is next to a very crowded highway. The bicycle parking was very unsecure. For "safe" bicycle parking I had to pay additional fee.
