Hotel Citio Shizuoka

I often stay here, staff are fantastic and Uber delivery is allowed to the rooms.

The bathroom was way too small, brushing your teeth is impossible without breaking your elbow on the glass shower wall.The floors in the bathrooms are really slippy and it’s like a clown walking on a large banana skin and I nearly went ass over t!t a couple of times.

The staff at the check-in counter were very friendly. I had sent a suitcase to them before I arrived and the staff called me to let me know it had arrived safely. The rooms are standard, but comfortable. Disappointments: 1. I didn’t like the pillow, it was too soft. This is a personal preference though.2. Inside the shower there was dried up shampoo residue splattered on the wall.3. The air filter in the shower was dusty.These are all small points, but things that can easily be fixed to increase the hotel rating. I have stayed here a few times and would probably stay again, but hopefully they can fix these small points.

Good location, about a 7minute walk to the train station. The advertised rooms were small so we chose a twin room which provided a bit more space… this was well organised so we had space to put our stuff and two big suitcases. We had everything we needed. Very comfortable.

The location was perfectly in the middle of all the shops and near the train station.

I kept getting bit by bed bugs, the only hotel on my trip which this happened.The single room bathroom was tiny and cramped. The T.V. channels were trash, they need premium TV channels, or free Movies.

Comfortable hotel with reasonable size rooms, very good for the price. I would stay again if in Shizouka.

Vending machine right outside my room and someone using it at 2.30am. Also no breakfast facilities.

Room was of a good size for the average Japanese hotel. Centrally located with restaurants ,shops, groceries and mall within a short walk. Close to castle and park. Close to JR shinkensen rail station.

Bathroom and shower may be a little tight for plus sized people.

Friendly staff, English signage. New renovated bathrooms.

The chair in my room was a bit dirty, had stains all over the cushion.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They provided a variety of toiletries and free water to refill. Everywhere in the hotel was clean. They had a coin laundry. The room has a working TV and the WiFi worked perfectly. The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot and powerful. When we were checking out the staff offered us more free sweets which was very kind of them. The location was great, it's near the bus and train station, so it's easy to visit places, lots of shops and restaurants.

Location was very easy to access from the train station, and close to all the shops and restaurants. As Shizuoka is a very walkable city, we found that it was easy to reach everything from this hotel. Room was also clean and spacious, had everything we needed.

Hallway had a bit of a cigarette smell... Thankfully our room itself didn't smell of smoke, but can't speak for other rooms.

This was a cute and welcoming hotel. The staff did not speak English, but were so patient and kind with trying to communicate with my attempts with Japanese. The rooms were clean and reasonably sized, at least for one person, and had a minifridge, kettle, cups, and ample desk space. The bathroom was small but clean and functional. The location was surprisingly good - it was right across from Shin-Shizuoka station, which had a full department store and bus depot. It's also walkable from Shizuoka station, although the traffic crossings were a bit annoying. There was a table of complementary cosmetic items etc.. One of the staff very patiently helped me make a call from reception when my room phone wouldn't work.

The hotel lacked Japanese charm / character, but of course, not everyone is looking for that.

The only downside was the location relative to the train station entrance. Even though on Google Maps it seems to be right next to the station, one has to walk all the way around the station to get to the entrance-approximately one kilometer.

Beautiful room and spacious. Very clean and quiet. I love Cenova. Convenient and lots of restaurants to choose from.

Room is clean and big enough for solo traveler. Hotel lobby is at 2nd floor but it was fine for me as I do not have any big luggage. It is also very close to Shinkansen station. For those that don't like walking under hot weather, this hotel can be a bit far from the JR. But that is not a negative point as there are also bus stops nearby.

Very accommodating and friendly. Nice room. I like the desk. You can work well here.

Location is good.

There was a smell in the room. I told the staff and they looked surprised and when I asked for room refresher they gave something which didn't work. The floor mats need to be changed as well as the chair looks dirty with white spots in various areas which disgusted me to even sit on that chair. I travelled for work with online meetings so the only place you could do is using the dirty chair.

The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable! The amenities were fantastic with great quality.The room was furnished with a big screen LED TV, very good for watching movies.The bathroom were fabulous and exceeded my expectation.Wi-Fi strength and speed was great.Hotel location is right in front of Shin-Shizuoka station and really near to the Aoba symbol shopping district. (<5 minutes walk)

There was no breakfast service, so you have to buy breakfast yourselves.Other than that, I got no complaints at all.
