Pros +
- The food (dinner and breakfast) was amazing, all Japanese style and has the most variety. You can see Mt Fuji from your room or in onsen if there is no fog.
- The view of Fuji reflecting on Tanuki lake was remarkable, dinner buffet was nice, although with same menus during two-night stay, and the staff’s hospitality is second to none.
- The location, right next to Fujinpmiya station. Mt. Fuji view from the room is stunning. The room is new and clean.
Cons -
- Additionally pay massage wasn¿t that good (although they come into your room to give you a massage).
- The room, albeit very clean and with excellent view, is a bit old and the air conditioning wasn’t cool enough ( I understand that Japanese people usually don’t put AC too strong ) that we have to open the window all the time we stayed.

It was really a relaxing stay in the resort style hotel. We had a perfect view of mount Fuji and Tanuki lake from our room. Room was clean and the tatami and futon beds were very comfortable to sleep in. Usually my wife and I had trouble sleeping on thin and hard futon beds, but theirs were the thinking spongier type and with tatami flooring, both of us were snoring through the night. :DThe breakfast and dinner was also exceptional with a wide selection of both local and western selection. Our only regret is that we should have stayed 2 nights instead of only one, to slowly indulge ourselves in the Mount Fuji/Tanuki lake surrounding scenic areas, the sunset from this side of Mount Fuji is magical at this time of the year.
Nothing really....
The twin room is honestly nothing to write home about but the view and the food were just wow. We stayed 4 nights total in various places around the Fuji area and this hotel probably has the best unobstructed view of Mt. Fuji where Mt. Fuji looked huge. The dinner and breakfast had so many options we were honestly overwhelmed with choices. Also loved Lake Tanuki as it was not touristy at all and we were able to peacefully walk, in the middle of the day, the entire length of the lake (around a 45 minute walk) without encountering tour buses and influencers.
The twin room needs a refresh.
Foods are very good. They offers a lot of variety with very good ingredients. You wish you had 4 stomachs.Rooms are excellent with the Mt. Fuji afar and lake view in between making it a perfect photogenic spot.Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable.
Beautiful facility, Beautiful location and amazing staff even for foreigners. The breakfast and dinners were amazing and had plenty of options. Great location to go walk and enjoy nature, while not being to far from other attractions
Some of the bottom rooms have the views blocked by trees. The beds are also not very comfortable, but I understand that I'm probably just used to my bed at home.
Atmosphere, view, dinner, breakfast
Breakfast and dinner buffets were excellent. The location is great with wonderful views of Mount Fuji. A trail longing the lake is accessible from the property. We reached the hotel by car.
Location has some great views of Mt. Fuji, especially from your room. The food is all delicious and fresh, I tried most things they served at your included breakfast and dinner and liked most if not everything. Spent a little extra money and got a japanese style room with futon and tatami mats, definitely added to the whole onsen experience and my trip as a whole. All in all, a great place to spend 2-3 days at the end of a trip to unwind from the hustle and bustle of the jam packed cities.
The place, the view and the food were fantastic!
Amazing views of Mt Fuji and delicious buffet. However, the onsen only had one small pool per gender.
Best location with gorgeous Fuji San View and very good service. I forgot my coat when checking-out and could get it at once when i drove back to the hotel.
It would be better to be more considering about customer with health conscious. I would recommend to provide butter as an alternative for customer rather than margarine only. However, other food providing for dinner and breakfast are all good though.
Good breakfast & dinner , the best of view(very impressive Mt.Fuji), quiet place, fresh atmosphere and all staff also great.
Wonderful stay.Great view of FUJI mountain. Staffs are helpful n speedy. The crowd management for the bathhouse and buffet is very efficient.
Public bus to hotel in weekend very less.
The view of Mt Fuji is exceptional. The dinner buffet is excellent. Staff is very accommodating and helpful.
Our rooms are small, outdated but clean
I booked a Japanese-style tatami room so my children could experience sleeping on a futon bed, and it was a wonderful cultural experience. Another highlight was the public bath, which my children and I had the chance to try. While the room has a private toilet, the public bath was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, featuring a small but relaxing hot spring pool. The room itself was spacious, and the breathtaking view of Mount Fuji made our stay even more special. On clear days, you can see Mount Fuji from almost every corner of the hotel—whether from your room, the lobby, or the restaurant. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making our stay even more pleasant. The check-in process was quick, and check-out was smooth and hassle-free.If you're looking for a spacious room with stunning Mount Fuji views, this is the perfect place to stay!
If I were to be very picky, the one thing I didn’t particularly enjoy was the buffet dinner. I booked a half-board stay, and while this isn’t my first time staying at a hot spring hotel with half board, I found the main dishes to be just average in taste. Despite the wide variety of food options, the overall flavor of the main courses didn’t quite meet my expectations. On the bright side, I absolutely loved the coffee—not the usual latte machine kind, but freshly brewed and full of depth. Another highlight was the green tea tiramisu—a must-try dessert!
Getting away from it all – perfect place to relax, great views, ample buffet, really helpful and friendly staff, even though only one person could speak conversational English, everyone was accommodating and helpful using apps.
Probably due to old pipes, occasionally there was a whiff of sewer smell from the bathroom. The only other improvements I can think of: cheese at the breakfast buffet, adaptors for foreign guests to borrow, a bit more English training for staff. But all of these were minor, I’d definitely go back.
The location is quiet and by the lake Tanuki, surrounded by forests. We really enjoy the tranquility, the nature walks, the sky full of stars, and most of all the unblocked view of Mt Fuji. All these complete with onsen baths and yummy meals they provide. We will definitely go back again.
