- Very good breakfast included. The hotel is a very short walk from the bullet train station (just across the street). There is an unusual bird zoo about a 15 minute walk away that we really enjoyed and a lovely castle you can walk to for a tour, as well as a stained-glass museum. We happened to be in town the day of a local Farmer's Market just on the other side of the train station from the hotel that was fun to visit. The hotel itself is older and the room was small for 3 people but it was fine, Everything was very clean and tidy. We really enjoyed our stay and would go there again. Check out the "American style" burger restaurant just a few blocks away!

A bit dated, but luxurious nonetheless! Huge rooms for Japan. Western-style interior. In a small, sleepy town, halfway between Kyoto and Tokyo, right next to the shinkansen line. Nice and chill vibes, very local, but some tourist attractions nonetheless. It was refreshing not to have hordes of tourists all around you. Service was impeccable. Checkout time (11 AM) was later than at other hotels in Japan. Complimentary tea was so fragrant (wouldn't expect anything less from the tea-growing region of Japan). Very reasonable rates.
Nothing to dislike
The food is great.
The carpet in our room is very dirty and has molds. Both floor and room lights are not working. The airflow of the aircon is very weak even though we set it up to high. The bed is broken. There are a lot of mosquitoes in our room and also in the hallway.

While the location of this hotel is very convenient, the hotel itself feels a bit outdated. The rooms are comfortable and clean but the appliances could use some renovation. Breakfast was good, and the personnel very kind as is customary in Japan.

the hotel is an excellent choice for the Kakegawa tea region. It’s close to the Shinkansen train station, we rented 2 bikes for cycling through tea fields and when we forgot something they even sent it to us to Tokyo! Very friendly staff!

The hotel is a bit outdated.The laundry service does not include socks and underpants.There is no closet in the bedroom. Instead, behind the supposed closet doors is a refrigerator that had to be turned off as it generated heat and noise

We didn’t like the part that their is no aircon inside the room, and you cannot adjust the temperature.
