The View & Staff were friendly. It was far from the city so it was quiet.

The Family mart bathroom is cleaner than the bathroom here. The AC/Heater is centralized. So it was very hot during our stay because the heater was on. We open the window but it is still hot.

The ferry terminal was right by as well as two convenience stores making this a very practical place for a family to stay maybe a night or two.

    10MathewPosted on: 8-16-2025

We were able to book a room for a family of four on the same day we needed it. We enjoyed the night pool and had an excellent view of Sakurajima in the morning. The breakfast buffet was pretty good, too.

    8RyanPosted on: 8-15-2025

The view of Sakurajima was beautiful.

The Hotel is a little old, so it was not the cleanest…

    8JessicaPosted on: 8-4-2025

Convenient location and friendly staff. We stayed here to be close to the harbor. The view of the volcano was great. The pillows are not great, but room clean and staff were helpful.

2nd time stay in this hotel. The sakurajima view and breakfast are amazing. Staff also very friendly and helpful.

The location is "good" as it relates to the view of Mt. Sakurajima -- it offers a wonderful view of the sunrise when the weather is nice. Having the outdoor onsen is wonderful. The rooms are large and the price can be absolutely great. I didn't need to make use of the wedding facilities but they had some nice layouts there for them. Parking underground was excellent but I didn't drive, unfortunately.

Booking the private use onsen wasn't difficult BUT I didn't get very clear directions on how to go out there. It's inconveniently located, from the back of the hotel, all the way around the side and close to the front-right side. So, you can't just go from inside the hotel to the onsen directly, you have to go between the restaurant/cafe area in the back, turn right, go around the back corner and turn right again, keep going through a bunch of pillars, and just when you start to feel like you are lost or are going the wrong way, you finally find the onsen. However, no signage shows you the way, plus there's nothing there to show you "Oh yeah, the 'private' onsen isn't this one, it's the one next to it, further away." A little more signage or assistance would be nice. It's already troublesome that it's such a long walk, PLUS once you get your bathing suits, you must change in your room because there aren't any changing facilities near the onsen. That literally means when you pick up your bathing suits at reception, you'll have to go back up to your room, change, put on a robe, and then come back down and walk outside to the water. Troublesome. Also, if it's during the winter months, that is a LONG walk to be making in just a bathing suit and robe. I think that this could be improved somehow.

We had a view of the volcano from our room. It was a treat to watch its ever-changing puffing from our balcony! The breakfast was excellent but pricey. There's both a 7-11 and a Family Mart across the street. An added bonus is the free outdoor spa (hot-tub). You book it at the front desk and they provide towels and robes. We went at night and loved it. Note that you go outside and then downstairs to reach it.

The furniture is worn but the hotel has accomodated that in the price. It's very clean.

Nice view. Clean and spacious room. Bed too hard for me. Pillow too flat.

The best thing about the hotel is the views across the bay and of the Volcano. Who needs a telly if you've got THAT view from the large panorama window and balcony. The room was large for Japanese standards and comfortable, although the furniture a little dated. Breakfast buffet excellent and to be recommended. The small Japanese restaurant in the hotel is exquisite but needs pre-booking, the service unsurpassed. The dinner buffet was a little disappointing at 4.500 Y. When we arrived at 7:30 for a 90 mins session, half of the dishes had gone and were not replenished. The location in terms of access to the city and facilities, ferry terminal and station is not the best, unless you have a car. There are 2 bus routes, but only with 2 buses an hour. However, as said before, the Volcano view compensates for the few little shortcomings.

Room size, view and service was great. Also bed was firm but not too hard. Appreciated flexibility/ accommodation with room. And yes, the laundry is very convenient and affordable. There is also a large supermarket with a small food court (closes at 6:30) about 5 minute walk from hotel. Thanks for our stay.

Just that it's far from Tenmonkan, restaurants & shopping downtown.

the Breakfast was okay and the view was good.

The hotel was a little far from Kagoshima Chuo Station

Clean great views and quiet part of Kagoshima and there is a 711 across the road

Nothing everything from the room to the staff make this a great stay and the breakfast is amazing

We were staying at renewed room high floor with refurbished room facing Sakurajima which was fantastic. The room was extremely spacious and clean. However, do bear in mind this is an old hotel and may not all rooms are refurbished an parking is chargeable of Yen 1000 per night and even though the parking lots are limited but their have an associated parking lot with ample parking space which is located merely cross the road, same parking fee applies. Convenient store is across the road and a hotto motto hopefully I pronounced correctly, sort of fast food chain that is very affordable mins away from the hotel. Going to city centre, driving is more convenient. A
