Dormy Inn Kochi

The hot springs bath and location, along with laundry facilities.

There was no fitness center, the room was very small, and breakfast was not included.

This is a great option if you want to be in downtown Kochi, close to markets and Kochi Castle.

This is a chain of business hotels. So there will be a lot of businessmen in the hotel. The hot spring is quite small, which is understandable given the location. I wouldn't recommend this to families with children.

The breakfast was much better than I expected. There were excellent local dishes and the dining room was large and spacious. Even at a busy time there were plenty of tables still available.

The location is situated by the shopping arcade where local events like the Sunday Market and the Christmas Market were taking place. It is also between the castle and Kochi station and it only takes 10~15 minutes noth ways.

Great location near the castle with plenty of good restaurants nearby. Wonderful breakfast bar. Well equipped and comfortable rooms.

The hotel and facilities were nice. Staff were more than helpful and it was located in the center of the market area.

The parking situation was a bit difficult, and a bit expensive a we had to pay for more than 12 hours.

Indoor and outdoor onsen with sauna and cold plunge. Modern massage chairs, Yakult and variety of ice cream/pops. Breakfast buffet was exceptional with local katsuo no tataki. Free coffee and variety of tea is available at lounge.

Foreigners at onsen and buffet that are not respectful.

1-designated smoking room at 5F should not be connected to common facilities room causing the whole areas/room with cigarette smells/smoke unless redesignated the whole common facities as smoking room. 2-provide a red/pink color sign or a full lady image on the door on lady only laundry room at 10F, saw westerner-male using lady only laundry room

Location was central to our activities and walkable everywhere. I liked the onsen facilities.

This place is a great go-to for a nice hotel in the middle of Kochi City. Great location. Has an onsen in the hotel, and free laundry service - which is very helpful when traveling.

Nothing surprising but my room was tiny.Just as described on the booking page.

Clean modern hotel right in the heart of things. Slept well.

We chose a spacious room which at 22sqm meant we weren’t clambering over each other with the bed, our luggage, and furnishings. That was great. The ability to open a window. The free access to laundry, that happened to be on our floor and the one above. Lifts fairly quick versus other hotels we’ve stayed in. Stairwell as an option to move between a few floors was also useful.

Pillows are flat. You get one pillow per person. They are apparently a special weave but we found them on the flat side. Onsen is not rooftop like pretty much all other Dormy inns. The hotel itself is older, and I am presuming this is why the onsen was in a more closed-in part of the hotel. Ventilation could be made better there, by opening up more wooden slats that don’t compromise privacy - it gets super steamy with only a people using it.

This was a standard hotel situated in the heart of Kochi.It had some useful extras to pick up in the lobby.The beds were fairly comfortable when compared to futons!The fact that we could park our cars in a nearby carpark was a bonus.

Parking was good but just arrive after 3pm as you will be charged extra.

There was nothing much to complain about. Facilities were clean, though a refresh was due.
