    Pros +

    • Hot tub onsen
    • Almost everything
    • The room and bath size was quite generous with spectacular views of the ocean. Nice to have a quiet beach in front of the hotel though the tour bus parking in front was not ideal. We really enjoyed the public baths with their equally lovely views. Access to the museum and nice walk to the observation platform was excellent. The breakfasts are very traditional Japanese (very nice) with no western options.

    Cons -

    • In the countryside English is not spoken as much as in the bigger cities so communicating was a challenge. Also, the bus from the train station to our hotel dropped us off too soon so we had to drag our suitcase s along the road.
    • Regular TV service was spotty because the remote location. Switch on the remote to the cable TV service which is better
    • The staff had minimal english speaking skills and we were not prepared for having to take a bus over to the sister hotel for the dinner meal. The buffet at the sister hotel was Okay but having to dine based on the shuttle schedule was not great. Carpets and ac/heat units need to be replaced which is not surprising since it is an older facility.

The room was very spacious. The water pressure of the shower pretty strong, to me that a plus. The bath area was nice too. We barely used the air conditioner since the room was warm. The gf was happy. Last, the breakfast was very delicious, the amount was good. We enjoyed our Japanese style breakfast. We didn’t touch the bread and croissants. I imagine these are the same food industrial everywhere.

The carpet had lots of stains. I guess it costs a lot to clean or replace, specially if the stain is a difficult one. The dinner at the other was ok, lots of things but we concentrated on fish and vegetables. There was some ramen but not good.

staff was ver nice and helpful. location was good.

room was TOO HOT! AC unit was very dirty (they kindly cleanded and changed filter). But the cover was a down comforter and the room was just too hot for that. they needed lighter summer blankets.

    Quiet, peaceful, friendly staff.

    7SarahPosted on: 9-22-2023

The location was very convenient for the whirlpool observation walkway and strolling along the beach. The room was large and the bath had a sea view, although one would need to be careful not to expose oneself while opening the window to enjoy the view from the bath. The food was tasty and the service attentive.

The room decor felt a little dated and the room smelled a little bit of cigarette smoke. Also because we were a little isolated, the meal prices were a little higher than normal. It would have been nice if the different onsen pools were at different temperatures rather than all the same.

The staff were great, especially the manager at the front desk was wonderful. the view from the room was amazing and food was great.

I liked Everything about this hotel. We had a good size room with a beautiful view of the ocean. the onsen also faced the ocean, so in the morning it was wonderful. A few minutes walk to the Otsuka museum. The half board was good, lots of fresh food.

Great location front beach close to naruto park . The rooms are big but but not all have beds . Nice bath with sea and naruto bridge view. Cozy and small hotel clean and polite staff. The check in is to late at 15 clock and check out to early at 10 clock. The food is verry good and fresh . The breakfast is excellent with washoku japanese traditional food. Over all we have a good stay . They do charge the kids over 6 years old I don't agree with it but their house their rules you take it or leave it. Front beach view and location are the only things to make you wanna come back to this place. Price for room a bit high .in case you want a extra blanket for your child you need to pay 5000 yen unacceptable I believe just to borrow a blanket gor 8 hours sleep.

They charge the kids over 6 years old even without extra beds or blankets. The charge of 5000 for a blanket is to high. The check in too late and check out to soon.

Far from town. Not even a convenience store nearby

big room for it’s an awesome view, even out of the bathtub. Very good restaurant with fresh ingredients. Helpful staff and a nice price. I am sure I’ll book this hotel again next time.

Lovely newly remodeled room, comfortable beds, large window with view of the sea and impressive bridge over the Naruto whirlpools. Excellent and very clean onsen bath. Enjoyed a very reasonable sushi and tempura dinner with delicious sake sampler in onsite restaurant (also looks to have been recently remodeled). Friendly staff. Free parking. Can walk to famous Otsuka Museum.

Pillows not very comfortable (half-filled with pellets). We brought our own, so we didn’t have a problem. Otherwise, no complaints. An excellent choice for staying in Naruto. Highly recommended!

The view from the room was lovely. There was a little souvenir/refreshment shop in the lobby. Coffee and tea bags in the room. Bath tub was nice...I had a nice private bath; brought my own bath salts. Everything for a comfortable stay was provided. Room was huge.

I could hear through the walls a little bit. Not too loud, but I was reminded of the thin walls in Japan. Wish we didn’t have to make a reservation for the restaurant. Not a fault of the restaurant, but there weren’t many food choices for late night snacks in the neighbourhood (eg. No convenience store). I’d packed snacks and instant noodles in case I got peckish in the evening.
