Tokushima Grandvrio Hotel

I appreciate the fact that I arrived around noontime and was able to check into my room instead of waiting until 3pm. I really REALLY appreciate that. I also appreciate the fact that there's a microwave on each floor!

It would've been nice if there were laundry machines for guests inside the hotel.

Breakfast needs more variety. It was the same thing for 6 days.

The cleaning was only 2 times in 6 days.

Breakfast with beautiful view and welcome Sudachi drink was the best part of my stay.

- size of the room- they let me check in at 14:20 instead of making me wait until 15:00- free on-site parking

- barely any interaction at check in, no explanations- old and worn room and furniture (check pics)- weird and confusing light controls- dirty bathroom tiles, mold, soap scum, soap dispenser falling apart with tape on it, pink bacteria on shower curtain

Cyclists can have their bikes store inside the lobby.

I wanted the air-con to operate as cold-room, but it never worked. You can have warm-room mode working though.

The twin room was spacious. Hotel near riverside and Lawson is next door. Parking in hotel. Breakfast has wide varieties of food and very sumptuous.

Very comfortable and only a 20 minute walk from train station. Right on the river.

Good view, convenient for marathon start.

No control over room temperature. Was too hot in the afternoon. Bath water was tepid.

The rooms were clean and had everything we needed - kettle, hairdryer, soaps, etc. Parking was free and there were also free toiletries and drinks at the hotel lobby! It’s also located right across from a Lawson convenience store so if you needed anything else it was just a stones throw away.

We had a rental car so the location wasn’t an issue, but it may be alittle more inconvenient for non-drivers (I’m not entirely sure if there are buses or a train station nearby, but it didn’t look like it). The hotel unfortunately didn’t have a coin laundromat available, which was slightly inconvenient for us.

I don’t know that the price includes breakfast. A bit surprised as the breakfast is a buffet with many choices of food from japanese to western, main, drinks and desserts. And the dining area is right next to the river. What an amazing view.A coffee machine inside the room also surprised me. There are 4 tea or coffee capsules free to drink. What a surprise to caffeine consumer.

Public transport to hotel at night is a bit disappointing. Either walk 30 minutes from JR Tokushima station or take a bus from there. However the last bus ends at around 9pm. If you go back late, you have to take taxi or by walk.

We had tons of amenities that we can self-serve. The location is great since we wanted to go see the Naruto Whirlpool near by. Also there's a paid parking spot but since you're staying at the hotel, they give it to you for free. There's also a convenience store near by.

The bed was hard. It was a bit uncomfortable to sleep on. We can feel the spring.

Location beside the river. It was romantic vibe. Facilities thought not that updated but very functional.

There’s lots of free parking spaces in the hotel .

There’s not much eating places around but Lawson is just opposite to the hotel. You can’t adjust the temperature of the room, what you can do is to open the window.

Nice clean humidifier.Fun elevator.

Lack of washing machines.Some things are very dated and damaged. Important things were clean.

Everything (minus the matrasses) was great. There is a Lawson in front or otherwise a big supermarkt a 5 min walk away, which is also open 24 hours.

The matrasses did not provide us with enough support. Otherwise everything was great.

Price is very cheap and the room is huge with very good view Nice quiet street with a 24 hours supermarket within 5 mins walk The staff is very nice Lovely welcome drink

The air con didn’t work but it is nice temp so didn’t need it
