Hotel Miyajima Villa

Location was so convenient right across the ferry terminal. And easy 10 min walk to Tori gate and to gondola (or "ropeway") up to Mt Misen.The breakfast and dinners were delicous! And lounge with drinks were such a nice touch.The onsen with beautiful view and massage chair in room made it feel like true vacation.

Beautiful room with lovely views. Wonderful to stay on the island overnight and experience the woods, torii gates and walks late at night and n the morning. Fantastic breakfast and dinner. Highly recommend booking dinner and breakfast. Gorgeous views. Lots of snacks in the hotel lobby, relaxing places to wait for checkin and out. Walk to everything - food, ferry, temple and gates. Wonderful ambience. Don't just catch the ferry for the day - stay on the island It's unforgettable.

If you’re booking for the view, keep in mind the view is of the station.Food was terrible, I’m actually surprised pf how many positive food ratings this place has. I visited their 1st floor cafe and the curry was reheated in the microwave, which isn’t bad if you select the correct option so the inside is also hot.Super expensive food, a 300ml beer was around ¥950

Clean. Location. And the services and amenities were perfect

The ROOM. It was luxuriously spacious and the design very well thought of! There were 3 of us in the room and we didn’t feel cramped at all. There was lots of space to move around comfortably. The design of the bed was amazing! It was one long bed made from hard wood, fitted with 3 single mattresses side by side. In between the mattress there was space to put your phone, charger, watch, etc which effectively acted as a side table without wasting any space! And also there were power outlets for each ‘bed-side’, so there was no shortage of where to plug power chargers! That was a great plus! And though the bed frame was solid wood, it was very comfortable to sleep on, and I woke up every morning with no neck or back pains! The bathroom was also very well thought of. The wash sink, toilet and shower/bath tub were all separate, so all 3 of us could use the bathroom at the same time without waiting for our turn! One could wash her face first, while one was taking a shower and one using the toilet. Again, amazing! I especially loved how strong the water was because when I took a shower, I was also pooling water in the tub at the same time to soak in after, and the water pressure on both was strong! We loved the entertainment in the room as well. It was a big screen SmartTV where we could stream Netflix, Prime, YouTube, etc. Then, let’s talk about the massage chair. YES! there’s a massage chair in the room which was a perfect treat after our long trip from Tokyo, to Hiroshima then the ferry ride to the hotel. The location is one of the highlights. It’s right in front of the ferry station, which again was a plus since we were traveling with my elderly Mum who uses a wheelchair. Although we didn’t get to use the onsen, we did get to take a peek just to see the panoramic view. Very nice! I cannot recommend this hotel enough. It’s one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Every small feature was carefully thought of, and no expense was spared on the amenities at all!

Not really dislike, but maybe it was a bit pricey. But it did make sense because the quality, facilities and every inch of the design of the hotel was perfection! It would’ve been nice had there been a free breakfast. Oh, but on the other hand, there was drink all you can vending machine coffee and tea at the lobby (selection of regular coffee, cafe mocha, cafe latte, cocoa) and oh yes, there was free Sujata brand ice cream too! Which I think tastes better than Hagen Dazs. And lastly, Miyajima’s delicious momiji manju perfect with a hot cup of tea, also available anytime, did I say free? :)

Conveniently located and clean.

Not worth the price we paid at all. Not a luxury or upscale experience at all. Average hotel, food plan was included, but options were not great-very limited, service was mediocre, and it felt very much like a cafeteria.

The staff was so friendly and welcoming. We did not take advantage of the breakfast or onsen. The location across from the Ferry was very convenient. Our room had a great view of the water and was very comfortable.

The location was ideal for late arrival on ferry; wonderful breakfast, helpful staff and fantastic massage chair! Nice onsen experience too.

This place was great! We'll definitely come back. The hotel is beautiful, the food was delicious, the staff was so welcoming. It was an amazing experience. Soaking in the onsen with a view of the port was amazing. From the beds to lounge wear and all the additional amenities, there was nothing more we needed. My 10 year old really enjoyed her time as well. Such a charming town, we didn't want to leave. Next time, we'll definitely extend our stay.

I would have liked a choice of yukata for the women & kids instead of the lounge wear and we didn't see any kids slippers in the room. There wasn't a place for the wet towels in the changing area, you had to carry them out and drop them off at the entrance. Not a big deal but I didn't want to put wet towels on the floor.

Fantastic location and attractive shared spaces with good service.

There are sliding shoji panels in front of the windows which make it impossible to have the view shown in room photos without removing them. The furniture in the room was mismatched and lacked thought. Overall, I expected more for what I paid.

Outstanding! The room was very large and the bathroom was big. The onsen overlooked the harbor from the top floor. Everything was clean and well kept. The lobby and lounge is large and inviting. A great place to hangout and unwind. The location is steps from the ferry terminal and minutes from main attractions by foot. We enjoyed the buffet dinner (extra fee), lots of variety and options. We only stayed one night and wished we had booked another.

Very good location to the ferry terminal. The room was large and comfortable with a nice view of the ferry terminal and ocean. We also enjoyed the onsen.

The staff were very friendly and provided exceptional service. The restaurant’s buffet items were all clearly labeled for allergies and the Shimauma Bakery products were delicious! The hotel was only a few minutes walk from the ferry station and easily walkable to the main sites on the island.

The entry way to the room was a tight space but the rest of the room was very comfortable.

It was very close to the ferry and within easy walking distance to Miyajima’s shops and restaurants.

Great location opposite ferry terminal and walking distance to all the main sights in the island. Massage chair in the room, complimentary drinks and ice cream station in foyer were big hits with our children. The futon beds all in a row was a novelty.

Not the most functional room we had, but perfectly fine for a one night stay.

This was the best stay of our trip! We only stayed one night but we really should have done two nights! Such a beautiful spot, they’ve got free icecream, tea, coffee, and treats.

Would love if the queen standard room also had massage chairs, otherwise you can not fault this place. It was amazing !
