Hiroshima Intelligent Hotel Stadium Mae

Staff was very friendly. Our travel adaptor did not work and they were able lend us one. Easy walking distance from Hiroshima station.Bonus washer and dryer on the second floor for guests use. And a ice maker ?.

The beds were very firm, to the point of being uncomfortable.

Friendly staff and the room was clean and we liked that it felt like a traditional Japanese room. It was close to Hiroshima station which was useful and the hotel was nice and quiet. We liked that the hotel could store our cases on departure.

We felt that the rooms and the hotel in general could do with an update, in particular the reception area.

Room was roomy and comfortable. Staff were awesome. Great location, ten minutes from train station, short walk to baseball stadium and restaurants. It's a very walkable location and clean and safe.

Very old hotel with old facilities and old decoration, the train line is in front of the hotel so you can hear trains passing the whole nigth

The whole hotel has a weird vibe.It looks and feels like it hasnt been refurbished since 80s.There is this passing area in the spirit of 1900s Germany with artifacts like statues and old phone, which adds to the out-of-place atmosphere. In our room the wallpaper is damaged and coming off also the mattress was torn.The elevator doesnt work from the ground floor so, you have carry up all the luggage to the first floor first, then take the elevator. Not recommended with heavy luggage.Also trains can be heard through the window, noise insulation is not great ( on 7th floor)

The staff was really friendly, the rooms are very spacious and it's really close to Hiroshima station and one main Trolley line.

Twin beds were very close together and could have done with a quick spring clean.

Affordable rate for rooms and closer to a train station and baseball field. Parking lots were somehow prepared. Good for baseball game watchers.

Old and cluttered facility. Room is not so clean. Air purifier seems not to be cleaned and generates very bad smell. (of course stopped it immediately)

The hotel has an interesting atmosphere. On the inside, the architecture reminds you somewhere European style. There's an There are interesting statues and paintings around, and in one of the common areas they offer some free books that you can read to pass the time. (Note: They are older series, and if I remember right they're in Japanese.) The elevator on the way up is glass, so you can see through the elevator as it ascends to your floor over the contained garden between the two wings. The room is an older design, but relatively comfy. The beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms were pretty clean. One of the neat features of the bedroom that I noticed was that there's a specific lightswitch built into the bedframe that serves as a floor light, so you can leave that light on and it'll illuminate the floor for when you need to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. The location is very close to the Mazda Zoom Zoom stadium if you're into baseball, as well as very close to the Hiroshima train station making travelling a lot easier. It's also very close to EkiCity, which is a brand new shopping center right by Hiroshima Station that sells various products if you wanted to do some shopping there. There's also a lot of good restaurants nearby, including a Wagyu restaurant that I really liked when I was staying in the area. Up north past the tracks within walking distance is also the Toshogu Shrine. There are also other shrines, which there should be a map indicating all the shrines nearby if you're interested in exploring and checking out all the shrines and temples. In particular, there is a path to an Inari shrine right behind the Toshogu shrine, and climbing all the way to the top gives you a beautiful view of Hiroshima, and another path close to the Inari Shrine will bring you over to where the Peace Pagoda is located.

My only complaint is that the wifi would sometimes be nigh un-usable. Sometimes basic email wouldn't even load, so I would have to switch over to data in order to load up emails. Otherwise, no other complaints.

Room smelt of cigarette smoke. Air conditioning was too cold, controls did not respond. Needed to go up a flight of stairs for the escalator
