Protea Hotel Upington

The room was good, the bed was very comfy and the dinner was divine.

The Wi-Fi was very horrible. I ended up having to use my own Wi-Fi for work.

Very neat and clean ,staff friendly and helpful

Breakfast Bacon was very dry

Easy to check in and out any time, very helpful staff, nice restaurant, new modern renovation. Wonderful large family suite

The room view was lovely and the bed

The floors and kettle was dirtyTo get room service was horrible even the food

Hotel was undergoing construction at the time of visit. We had to have meals and breakfast at the neighboring hotel where everything was incredibly slow. However, waking up to the sounds of chirping birds made up for the short comings though a stay when the facility is in the middle of constriction in a hard pass.

Seriously annoyed !!

We arrived after being on the road for 8 hours to find out that the pool was being renovated. It was a scorcher of a day and we had no pool and construction noise all around us that nobody confirmed in advance.

The facilities and food are great with in a secure location.

I think when it comes to customer service the front office staff needs additional training. On arrival the lady that assisted me looked bored by the fact that I was standing in front of her. On check-out I almost had to wait 5 minutes for a staff member to acknowledge the fact that I want to leave, there were staff, they just did not care enough to help. A lady from the back office had to call someone outside to assist. Shocking service.

Staff friendly and problem solvers.

The outdoor areas including the pool were closed despite it was the summer.

The staff was exceptionally good. Friedly, helpful and not overbearing. Loved the view.

The bed is so comfortable, clean room and gets nice and warm from the morning sun rise. I enjoyed the breakfast a lot. The stuff is welcoming and friendly.

The sliding doors were quite dirty on the outside.

Efficient reception..Tyron was an excellent waiter and Elton a big help with our party of 6 pax...

Exvellent location and very affordable. Very good wifi and great facilities.

Nice sized room Smelled clean Wonderful staff Comfortable bed Excellent idea to have streaming services such as YouTube and Netflix

Showers weren’t cleaned properly The on site restaurant food quality was not great - they ran out of most items at most breakfasts

A few faults in room. Basin plug did not work, extractor fan in toilet did not work.

It is clean, beautiful and the breakfast and service was lovely.

It did not have car ports or sheds so our cars were left in the heat and Upington is very hot.
