    Pros +

    • I would rate this property as a 4 star. Ambience, politeness of staff , property itself excellent. Food very average, & as no other options, very disappointing. Dining room staff did their level best to make up though!! Stairs ++++.
    • The property is an absolutely stunning and well kept. You can full feel all the history walking around. The rooms are incredible and well and authentically decorated. Beds are very comfortable.
    • Beautiful property and the sheesh mahal was incredible. Loved the tour that was given by the staff. The property is well maintained and the staff are wonderful.

    Cons -

    • The kitchen average & quality of produce poor.
    • The pools aren’t heated so if you come in the colder months like I did there is no use for them. The jacuzzi which is more like a big bathtub and the water jets are very sleepy, looked very dirty. Did not want to go in that. Food is good, but the breakfast menu is more that of a cheap all inclusive hotel
    • Only 1 functioning restaurant that is very very expensive; ₹2500 for a single person veg thali.

The place is grand and the highlight was the room. beautiful hill view and the service is very good. The food is great and is served with warmth. The room service is prompt and very attentive.

some places had the smell of humidity - of course its monsoon but i know that it can be minimised.

Breakfast was delicious and generous. The grounds were beautiful, truly. We loved the infinity pool and enjoyed our time relaxing there. It was nice that food and drinks could be ordered pool side.

Staff were nice but at least 3 staff members we met were asking for tips or information about work visas outside the country. It was uncomfortable. The dinner was delicious but a overpriced. We had no other options as there is nothing else nearby. We went on the camel cart to Samode Bagh but it just felt like a sales pitch for that location, so it was a bit strange to have to pay for it and then be 'marketed to.' We couldn't speak to the camel cart owner and he didn't know where we were going. The manager at Samode Bagh, however, was the most gracious person we met in both places and very welcoming and accommodating.

This place was one of the highlights of our India journey, and it exceeded all expectations. It felt truly special, and we felt blessed to have experienced it. This stunning old palace brims with captivating history. The tour of the impeccably preserved private quarters offered a fascinating glimpse into the lives of the royalty who once resided here, providing ample opportunities for capturing beautiful memories. The dinner surpassed all expectations, and the restaurant staff were incredibly friendly. Overall, an exceptional experience that left a lasting impression.

Overall, our experience was wonderful, and we wouldn't hesitate to return. However, we did notice a few areas that could use some attention, particularly around the infinity pool, restaurant, and the first courtyard. Some maintenance and a fresh coat of paint would enhance the outdoor areas. Additionally, we encountered challenges with the reservation staff, as they were difficult to reach, and the response time on booking.com was slow or nonexistent, leading to unnecessary misunderstandings and frustration.

Food is excellent. Rooms are beautiful with a scenic view. Service is quick and the staff is extremely polite

Only that breakfast menu should have more food items. It’s limited and same everyday

    6SunilPosted on: 3-28-2024

Staff was courteous and helpful, rooms were clean and comfortable, upgradation of rooms is appreciated

Grossly overpriced property. No arrangements to keep guests entertained. I have visited many heritage properties and they have programmes to entertain guests but Samode Palace has none. Food is average in taste and presentation but highly overpriced.

The rooms are beautiful and all different, the palace is stunning with rooms kept exactly how they were back in the day, the pool is inviting and special and the restaurant is lovely with outside space to eat, food was amazing. Staff are very accommodating and very helpful in all areas

Family owned and run Rajasthani palace suuronded by hills in a typical setting. Raj charme all over.

the palace itself was the greatest positive.staff were generous and made sure that they ve got us covered.Amazing location between the mountains make it even better place to wake up at.bBoth the swimming pools were magnificent especially the infinity pool over the terrace..overall a great stay

No WIFI was biggest upset.it was mentioned on the booking.com as there is WIFI.But there wasn't any free WIFI in any of the rooms or restaurant only the lobby provides the wifi..Food wasn't that great especially the dinner..Neither they have good options on the buffet nor on the a la carte..

Perfect place to finish our two weeks and a half holiday around India. The Palace is beautiful, it has two fantastic swimming pools with great view to the mountains. We stayed in the royal suite, room was excellent, large, modern and stylishly decorated in traditional way with a fantastic view to the mountains. The restaurant staff were fantastic, I mentioned it was my husbands birthday and when we went for dinner they surprised us with a beautiful decorated table outside the restaurant under the stars in privite area, it was a fantastic evening. Take the palace tour, it is not long but it will give you a good insight of the palace history.

Very well maintained and super polite staff who are always eager to show you around the palace and help you out. A palatial yet homely appeal. A great weekend escape for us from Delhi.

Lacked in house activities, traditional Rajasthani music / artists on show. Some live traditional music with meals is always appreciated, which was missing. There was 1 puppet show for 5 mins which we weren't aware of an ended up skipping, although we had asked on the activities beforehand.

    9JackPosted on: 2-4-2023

Beautiful and unique property, very comfortable and spacious rooms. Incredibly impressive setting. Staff were mostly very friendly and helpful.

Overpriced food - ice cream as a desert was 600 rupees. One of the waiters was incredibly pushy and kept trying to get us to agree a time to meet his friend who was a guide despite us saying no.overall however we did enjoy our stay

    10JacquelinePosted on: 7-27-2022

This hotel is seriously beautiful and worth an overnight stay just to have more time to enjoy it. The staff are very attentive and warm, and I enjoyed the free walking tour of the palace. Rooms are very comfortable and come with everything you need. There is even a small gym that is fairly decent. They provided me with a personal portable hotspot so wifi connection was also perfect.

The food at samode bagh was very good , it's best lunch we have had since a long time, chef Gopal has magic in his hands .

A hotel that exceeded our expectation. Truly epic and world class. We stayed for one night and the hotel manager was very accommodative with our late arrival and extended our check out also. The staff accompanied my mother for her shopping in Samode village and were extremely courteous, helpful and super accommodative. We visited the glass room which was stunning. The hotel is situated among the hills and its location is simply gorgeous. Definitely a place to revisit. I have already made plans to go back there again in 2022

nothing to dislike. Truly a world class hotel

    10KirstyPosted on: 11-18-2021

The hotel is undeniably beautiful. But it's more than that which makes your stay so wonderful. The staff go out of their way. They are cheery, friendly and helpful, and yet also know when to leave you in peace - which you want so that you can relax and soak up their beautiful surroundings too.
