Umaid Bhawan - A Heritage Style Boutique Hotel

Food was good.

The room was badly set. There were roller beds in the room which they claimed could sleep 4 people. The staff at the checkin counter was rude and was not interested in serving customers.

The hotel is remarkable for its decoration and extraordinarily elaborate interior (and exterior) finishes. This attention to detail extends throughout the public spaces, with bowls of fresh flowers and beautifully polished brass fittings and classically upholstered furniture. The bedrooms are also redolent of the rich aesthetic design history of this area of India. The bathroom had a large shower and lots of hot water. Lovely!The food is good; well-priced for a city hotel and with a full menu to choose from at dinner. There are many staff, so service is prompt and efficient. The location is near enough the Pink City to be a reasonably inexpensive and quick ride (allowing for the dense city traffic) and far enough away to be peaceful.

The efficient service in the restaurant was slightly marred by a very clear expectation of immediate tipping, which undermined the sense of pure guest-friendly hospitality. Also the dinnertime entertainment - of musicians and dancers - whilst enthusiastic, was very noisy and felt more extemporised than rehearsed; it was quite a relief when it finished at 9p.m.

Bfast was awsome! We have stayed for two days and it was great experience, staff is helpful and place is clean, enjoyed the pool and food inside the hotel

We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner. The chef went out of their way to prepare special dishes.

Car parking was a challenge. Due to space constraints, no improvement can be suggested.

The hotel is very clean and restaurant at the roof, along with staff that works there is superb! We ate all our meals there during our stay. Overall, great experience!

The hotel I nicely decorated with the Rajasthan theme. The food is good specially in the restaurant.

First I was assigned a room right on the floor where their kitchen and restaurant was. So there was non stop traffic. I told them that I am a light sleeper and won’t be able to sleep. Then they assigned wrong room,not sure intentionally or unintentionally which was not fair to us. The first night we were in a room which was totally bad, small, dusty and stuffy. The entire room was occupied by bed, the ac was making loud noise every 10 minutes and the bright corridor light was coming in the room. I was not able to sleep the whole night. The next morning at 7, I requested to change the room as it was not what I had paid for. Luckily they changed the room and this was much better than before.

The hotel is very well kept, clean and has meticulously recreated Rajasthani art. The service was also excellent with all the staff being very helpful and attentive.

Well kept property in a central location close to all amenities and markets. Very helpful staff and good breakfast as well.

The property could arrange for cabs for guests so that they don’t have to wait for their uber or struggle to find an auto

We stayed one night at Umid Bhawan and had an excellent experience. The hotel is beautifully decorated in traditional royal heritage style, and the staff were very polite and helpful.

Dinner at the Rooftop Sheesh Mahal Restaurant was wonderful, with delicious food, traditional Rajasthani folk music, and cultural dance.Overall, a memorable stay with great hospitality and a beautiful atmosphere. Highly recommended!

The food was excellent and the rooftop setting was wonderful, very interesting hotel with many little areas to sit, paintings and artefacts. Enjoyed the music and dancing entertainment in the evening.

The style the architecture beauty of the building was wonderful the ambience was awesome. Food and drink were good Breakfast was also fantastic with various options The evening music and dance deserve special appreciation

Bathrooms need improvement for proper drainage. The towels must also be changed

The room was comfortable for 3 sharing. The breakfast was varied and plentiful and the restaurant was well priced with some entertainment during dinner. Swimming pool was good but only 4 loungers.

Restaurant was very good and friendly staff. Thumbs up for the facilities.

Disappointing experience for a hotel catering to international travelers. As a female guest, staff repeatedly ignored me and addressed my partner instead.

The hotel is remarkable, built and furnished in traditional Rajasthan decor. The hotel is large and around every corner there is a beautiful detail, a unique painted ceiling and/pr a piece of art. Our room was on the main floor and had a little terrace facing a small courtyard with a fountain. It was private and quiet with a beautiful painted ceiling and interesting artwork. The roof top restaurant offered a good breakfast and tried to cater to international tastes; however, the cuisine was largely Indian. We had dinner one night at the hotel and were pleased. The restaurant is beautiful. They had live entertainment with a traditional folk dancer the evening we had dinner at the hotel.The front desk staff were wonderful. We found the mattresses in our room to be a little lumpy and asked that they turn them over, which they did promptly and that made a huge difference. They also offered a good, fast laundry service . Other than the minor issue with the mattresses everything was wonderful. The entire hotel is elegant, clean and well taken care of. Lots of fresh flowers. You need to take a TukTuk or taxi to get anywhere from the hotel as walking is next to impossible due to the volume of traffic on all the main streets

We would have liked to have been able to walk to restaurants and sites but the traffic in Jaipur is so hectic that it wasn't safe as sidewalks at times are non-existant and with the "round-abouts" there were no crossing signals.
