This was a very impressive palace hotel which has been beautifully decorated with Indian antiques. The rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel grounds were lovely and we enjoyed the marble swimming pool. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.
Everything was great!
It truly was like staying in a palace. Amazing accommodations, food and service.
Narain Niwas Palace is an absolutely beautiful property that feels like a genuine oasis in the middle of Jaipur. The decor throughout is amazing, and I loved the spacious, clean rooms. The dining was a highlight for me; breakfast was really good, and I was impressed that they even provided freshly baked gluten-free bread. Dinner was also nice with plenty of à la carte options, though I'd skip the buffet next time as it felt overpriced at 2,500 INR for what was on offer. Overall, it’s a really nice place and was a great experience.
We booked a standard double with a king bed but were initially given a room with two singles. Even after they moved us, the new room still didn't have a king bed. There were also several maintenance issues that I didn't expect from a high-end property, like a clogged shower drain, toilet problems, and a missing toilet roll holder.Service was a bit hit-or-miss as well; for the price, it should be superb, but waiting 20 minutes for water is a bit much. It was also awkward when a staff member stood over me while I was filling out a feedback form (in the two days I was there, I was asked to fill out 3 forms). Finally, while the food was great, the music in the outdoor restaurant was so loud we could barely have a conversation.
First and foremost, the service level, it was exemplary. The property is beautiful! The food was exceptional; we only stepped out once to have a meal elsewhere! The location is perfect - one can explore the city easily from this address. Thank you.
Nothing comes to mind.
Amazing heritage building, friendly staff, it looks like a museum. very comfortable. I would go back again, peacocks in the yard.
old carpet in the room, should be changed or washed
Beautiful property, spacious rooms, good location
Nothing much
I loved the morning yoga class and the spa was exceptional!
Please hire more women! You would benefit (and so would your customers) from having women in management positions, in reception, and also in the restaurant.
Old world charm in the heart of Jaipur. Beautiful rooms and attentive staff. Good food options on the property
Good location, close to the city but not inside. Easy access to everything by tuk tuk. The staff was super helpful and a lot of different shops and restaurants in their own courtyard was a plus.
The property seems a bit old. I know it's heritage, but I mean in terms of the amenities and infrastructure within the rooms etc. They can be upgraded. But still can recommend staying there.
The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was very good, and the dinner in the outside restaurant was exceptional with very good cuisine.
Our room (# 35) was one of the largest available. While the room has a great atmosphere, there are two reasons why we would not book this room again: 1. It is located next to the very loud fan of the kitchen, which operates from 05:30 in the morning until about 22:00. During this time, the noise is very annoying in the room. Secondly, for whatever reason, there was no warm water in the shower in the morning.
The property itself is stunning and a spacious, well-maintained garden that adds to the serene atmosphere. There are a few restaurants on the premises offering a nice variety of cuisine, and a few boutiques with unique items. The breakfast was excellent. Additional amenities like laundry services and a relaxing spa made our stay even more comfortable and convenient. Overall, a perfect blend of luxury, history, and hospitality.
Excellent and courteous front office. Very sensitive to customer needs.
Value for money.
pool is beautiful.Breakfast was delicious.Staff were friendly.Just felt like everything needed a little love in tersm of the decor.
The heritage building is beautiful, and the staff were amazing, so attentive and helpful. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathrooms nice with excellent water pressure in the showers. There was a lot of green garden space to hang out and play games, and the coffee shop is beautiful, with nice food. There's a whole set of restaurants and shops attached to the hotel which were nice to visit.
Unfortunately, when we stayed there, Jaipur had unprecedented rain on two days, which meant the long walks between rooms were painful to navigate, especially since the polished stones could get slippery. Accessibility is not great, with lots of small sets of steps up and down to the dining room, to the rooms, and a short steep slope up from the car drop off point. This did have a good railing, but other places did not. The flooding also made the bathroom smell bad, and apparently disabled the main kitchen so we were unable to get dinner, finally just eating what they had on hand. It was very kind of the staff to scramble and feed us something, but it was definitely a shock in such a luxury property. They offered us high tea on the house to compensate the next day, but the day after the kitchen was out of commission again from the rain.
We loved our stay at Narain Niwas! The rooms and hotel grounds were all beautiful. It felt like a real oasis during the heat of the day, with peacocks and monkeys in the trees. Breakfast was great, and there are some amazing restaurants on the same property as the hotel.
Old heritage property but needs to be kept well and more maintained
It’s a heritage property but doesn’t mean it’s not kept well and looks old from the inside too ! Looked like the rooms hadn’t been painted for years now .. definitely can add a touch of luxury if you are Chariging so much money .. the money charged definitely did not match ghetto value and experience given . Check in staff was definitely not hospitable and not warm - a very unusual rajasthani welcome !
