    Pros +

    • If you are going to stay at Bissau Palace, you must stay in one of the Royal rooms. It takes you back to the Raj era of Jaipur. The condition of the room was a little worn but look past that and enjoy reliving another period in history.
    • Comfortable. Amazing service. Very beautiful building. Great rooftop where we were able to participate in the kite festival - staff even taught us to fly kites.
    • felt cheated

    Cons -

    • Don't rely on wifi service. They offer it but it is s-l-o-w.
    • We did not love the driver we were set up with.
    • I was not told by front desk they were putting me in the priciest room , I was looking for a deluxe room but they didn’t inform my room cost was Rs9800 when I checked in. I was shocked to see the bill when I checked out. Very disappointed

Room was interesting with old artefacts . They have preserved the original look

Location was in the midst of the market, the lanes were very dirty

    Wonderful old-world charm, great location.

Breakfast was ok but lacking, but for the price can't complain.

The hotel has very beautiful & comfortable suite rooms. The breakfast & sitting room was unbelievably well-decorated & full of history, almost like a museum. It also has large garden, like a piece of heaven in the middle of busy market. Very convenient location, walking distance to shops & restaurants, but require a ride to city center.

Like many hotels in India, it is impossible to expect hot shower. You may have a warm shower if lucky.

Very nice and big compound, with many rooms, a roof terrace and king fishers in the garden.Rooms are spacious and the property provides enough space to unwind from the busy city. Most of the saff members were extremely friendly and helpful, especially the ones running the breakfast.

The roof terrace restaurant is currently not open and the pool does not look clean enough to go for a swim. Some of the rooms are rather old, our bathroom looked like it was from the 70's and had lots of leakages. Our room was very spacious but did not get any day light and was dark and cold. Basic facilities like a hairdryer were missing and power plugs seemed old and dangerous to use.Breakfast options are rather limited and tableware old and often not clean. You only get 0,5l of water/person and even have to fight for that sometimes. The lane where the hotel is situated is busy but does not feel very safe at night and multiple drivers did not want to bring us there. With a bit more maintenance and welcoming attitude this could be an amazing place (again)!

Beautiful historical hotel, full of charm and character. It really makes you feel like you stepped back in time.

The massage, at the hotel spa, was probably the worst massage I’ve had.Apart form the technique itself, the masseuse was always coughing, over me, while doing it, as well as asking for tips.

The palace is beautiful and the owner and staff are wonderful.

    The room was freezing.

    8RastogiPosted on: 12-6-2025

The rooms were pretty and staff was good

The rooms had the old smell, needed some air. However, the locality , surrounding area is slightly congested and crowded.

I really like the structure, it's heritage and very clean!Staff was very kind and we liked breakfast and the pool.

    10ChristinaPosted on: 10-3-2025

Staff members polite and eager to provide. Food plentiful and good. Room was amazingly appointed. The property and rooms were clean.

The only thing I would recommend is the ac not blowing directly towards the beds.

If you are looking for something a bit different this is the place, sure it's ancient but full of charm; Breaky is great, freshly made omelette and dinner was pretty tasty as well...

    Nothing to mention

Classic style. Peaceful. Employees were good. Close to shops, restaurants, and subway.

    All was good.

Absolutely loved this amazing, authentic hotel full of history. It’s family-run, so you’re made to feel like a long-awaited, very special guest from the moment you arrive. The staff are super friendly and genuinely attentive. But what stole my heart? All the beautiful antique furniture and décor throughout the place, such charm in every corner.

a little bit noisy streets, but whern you entered the hotel - you are in a total silence and piece.

    10RobPosted on: 6-15-2025

This is my kind of hotel - a lovely palace where you feel like a king (or raja). The room was huge and felt like an original palace room with period furniture, photos on the walls, but a modern bathroom and air conditioning. The restaurant served delicious food, and the included breakfast was plentiful and served at the table.

They have a lovely little library room that needs to be restored. It felt like some of the public areas were works in progress, but wonderful to see that they are preserving the past rather than just fixing things.

While this hotel is beautiful it’s old and I had a weird experience here that ruined my whole trip. When leaning over the sink to get closer to the mirror in the bathroom the entire sink collapsed and sliced my hand open where I had to go to the hospital and get stitches. While the staff was quick to respond and very helpful the owners were extremely rude. They insinuated that I was lying (I’m a 130 lb woman). I shouldn’t be able to break a sink like that with a hammer if I tried. I’m not sure if there was a crack in it or it was really old. While it was a freak accident I couldn’t believe how I was treated by the owners. Extremely rude people who treated me like I did it on purpose instead of being sorry. The location also sucks.

I loved the quietness, decor, and overall feel of a bygone area.

There was a rooftop bar which was closed. We still managed to relax there, but no service. It would have been great to have service there.

Beautiful touches, large room, lots of hot water and a pool for those sweltering days.

Location, very busy area and not much around.

    8RenukaPosted on: 4-22-2025

Room interior was beautiful and hotel had an old haveli charm. A bit dated, maybe need to revamp some areas. Staff were lovely and helpful. Privacy was great, secluded rooms.

Needs bit of refurbishment. Rest all goid.
