Breakfast was good. Area is good.

Towels in the room seemed old. WiFi was unstable. Staff did not seem very happy Or friendly. They need to be trained better.Roof top hotel wait time was too long. Bathroom had no place to hand the towels. The towels were rolled and kept on the window sil.

Shahpura House cancelled our reservation on CHRISTMAS DAY mere hours before check in claiming our credit card didn’t work. They refused to take another credit card and were incredibly rude over the phone. My wife had planned to stay at this hotel for months and was devastated she did not get the opportunity. They ruined our trip.

The food at the hotel’s restaurant was exceptional! Wonderful, we all enjoyed it a lot , and service at the restaurant was excellent! Everyone at the hotel was very friendly, kind and always helpful, a great place to stay !!! Highly recommend!

The hotel is in good location, descent rooms, good room service.

The service or support is not up-to standard. Even after multiple complaints the bathroom was clogged.The restaurant service was extremely slow and poor.

Rooms were good, overall property was well maintained and pictureworthy. It was quite close to the city centre as well. Staff was extremely courteous and helpfull.

There was a hint of dampness in the rooms we were allotted. Also there was a lot of noise in the night as our rooms were close to the worker area, and common corridor maybe thats why.

Overpriced and never returning here again.

It was overpriced for a room that was at best like a room in a roadside inn. The exterior is absolutely exquisite, and made me feel like it would be a palace. But the interior and service was abysmal for the price I paid. The lighting was dull. The window looked into someone else's room or corridor. The whole setting was just dingy and depressing. I would never recommend this to anyone.

Wonderful decoration and antique furniture. The word 'Heritage' is well justified.

There are some hotel dogs, which seem to live on the roof, directly above rooms 501-504. One can hear them running around and in the night, the barking/howling can be excessive.Evening dinner food quality was poor and service was stretched.

The Travel Desk in the lobby set us up with a great tour of the local sites. Our driver and guide delivered the perfect day for us, The Travel Desk staff was easy to work with and our entire stay was a breeze.The Restaurant Staff was great too. Bharti was an amazing hostess. I forget the other gentleman's name but the breakfast and dinner services were always excellent. Bharti deserves a raise.The bartender did an excellent job too. The Front Desk and Housekeeping staff were equally as warm and proficient at their jobs.

I liked my room but there was not really a comfortable chair to relax in. I had to sit in a desk chair if I was not laying in bed. The price of cocktails was pretty annoying especially since the hotel frowned upon bringing outside alcohol into the hotel. A gin and tonic, featuring less than 2oz of gin ran about $16 USD. The beers were fairly priced and a better value.

This property is the worst one I have ever experienced in last 20 years. No service at all despite being asked several times everyday they did not clean the poor quality room which was very hard for us to stay. We left 1 day earlier for another property though they charged for the full. No apology from them, rather told us that it’s our choice whether we want to stay or leave.We paid nearly the price for average five star rated hotels nearby but the quality was like a backpacker’s one. The room was dirty even when we checked in and toilet !!!!! Very frustrating. Towels were very dirty rather I should say not usable for body at all. Curtains were dirty and with multiple wholes. Breakfast was very ordinary and the staffs were way behind any restaurant quality.

Spacious room, modern shower, and beautifully decorated historic interior. Tasty breakfast & dinner buffet. Friendly staff including check-in staff and hotel guards. They gave us the tour of the hotel, too, explaining the history a bit. One of the best hotels we stayed in India for the similar levels. Every evening, there was a concert and they refilled water daily. The location is close to the main station for trains to other cities, but we just used Uber and tours for transportation. Close enough to the center but not noisy to be in the center. My family was very happy with the hotel.

Room key didn’t get locked automatically multiple times and getting somebody to fix it took long time. Restaurant staff didn’t pay attention to people who used pre-paid buffet package, although we were still paying customers, but only to individual customers who order food & drink. Food was good though, changing daily.

It was our room that let the stay there down. It was scruffy, cold, kettle was missing so we were unable to make a hot drink. Towels were very old and grey and the floors hadn’t been cleaned.

The public rooms are amazing being decorated with many historical features including murals. The ambience is gracious and old world charm abounds. Breakfast was pleasant, and the choices were adequate with a mix of traditional Indian and western foods.

The first room which we were allocated was not made up for 3 people when we had booked for 3 people. We had to wait some hours for another bed to arrive. The first room allocated was dirty, particularly the floor, the skirting boards, the furniture and the shower. The pillows and doonas were musty and stained and the linen was gray. When we expressed our concerns, considering it is a 5 star hotel, we were given an upgrade to a much larger and better room but the unfortunately the linen was still grey in the new room although the bathroom and view was much better. The management responsible for linen and cleaning are letting the place down. The building has a wonderful ambience and the rooms should all be maintained to the same high standard as the public areas to be truly 5 star. Some of the staff need to be trained to smile more to create a better impression of hospitality.
