Hotel Palmas de La Serena

Didn't get to enjoy anything at all.. They simply said that Booking.com sold us accommodation that was not available

The fact that they made no effort to find a solution to our predicament. Other than paying almost double the amount for two rooms with a queen-size bed. Not good practice for Booking.com and hotel palmas de la Serena

We couldn’t wait to leave

The toilet didn’t flush so we had to remove the cistern lid. The complex is very noisy and the rooms are not insulated. Breakfast is not included in the price of the room which is expensive for what you get. The general facilities are dirty.

The pool would be nice if they put any water in it

I booked this hotel based on the pool. It was closed. When I received confirmation of my booking it said they hoped I would enjoy the pool and hot tub; of course this wasn't available. The rooms were filthy and WiFi didn't work properly in the room. Stay over the road at Caja Los Andes for a better experience.

it was in a great location right next to the beach! the staff were super friendly and did a great job communicating with me despite our language barrier. the pool was a little green and gross when i got there but the next day they had a crew out there working for hours and it looked great after!!

the wifi was a little spotty, which is to be expected. there also was bird poop all over my balcony.

The hotel is about 200m from the Av. del Mar- very convenient to go to the restaurants, the bars and of course the beach, but without the noise at night. The rooms all look out to the large garden (with pool) and even better, have a smal balcony. I went in May, so the weather wasn't fit for bacony or pool, but nonetheless- its nice to have. Bonus point- Lidia from the front desk was very friendly and helpful.

I stayed only for 2.5 days and spent only the nights there. No time to not like anything.

the breakfast was great. the location was pretty good.

The only problem was the services like TV or the water services. The TV was bad, because the quality wasnt allow me to see properly the cable.

the rooms are spacious, light and comfortable. bit old style, but nice. nice green surrounding, bit more jungly. and nice and quiet.staff was very friendly and helpfull.the pool looked pretty nice, but havent used that.. shame they dont offer towels..

wifi was only possible in the balcony.. no complimentary towels, breakfast was just something..

the location

a dull, uninspiring place. no guide for the safe, in fact no info at all. no litter bins in the room, but a good working fridge. no chairs in the room - one on the balcony.very poor indeed.

No code to access entrance gate instead of ringing door from outside
