Location and swimming pool are great

Rooms are a bit outdated

Excellent location, good sized suites, and an ocean view from each of our four rooms. My family made good use of the pool

There were several ses of stairs between the two building and no obvious accommodation for the handicapped

Telling us the room wouldn’t be ready until 4pm. We were exhausted and the hotel wasn’t full, they could have tried a bit harder to please.Towels were awfully old and grey.

Nice location.The room was pleasant. Nice hot shower with good water pressure.Everything was adequate I would say.

We planned to eat at the restaurant but they were closed for some reason. Pretty expensive. We weren't able to get a second night which worked out well as we were able to get an apartment just down the street with a beautiful ocean view for half the price.

Great location with free parking. The rooms are very close to the parking, so bringing up the luggage is quite convenient (even though there are steps instead of a ramp).The hotel looks very clean and maintained.Breakfast is great!

We asked for a baby cot. The bed wasn't used in a long while (I'm assuming) and it smelled very dusty.We ended up moving the bed out of the room because I couldn't sleep next to it (and the baby obviously didn't sleep in it)

The in-house restaurant was a standout—delicious food at very reasonable prices made dining easy and enjoyable. The shower was also excellent, with hot water and great pressure, and the heater kept the room cozy at night. While the beds weren’t perfect, they were generally comfortable enough. The hotel staff was polite and friendly, even if not especially enthusiastic. Breakfast was fairly standard with eggs, fruits, breads, and a surprising but plentiful dessert spread. And though the balconies don’t face the ocean directly, they do offer a partial ocean view and a quiet spot to relax by the pool area.

The rooms felt a bit under-decorated and sparse—especially the non-balcony rooms, which were quite small. Internet in the room was awful, completely unusable for work, and among the worst we’ve experienced at a hotel; only the restaurant area had decent Wi-Fi. The tea kettle setup was a nice touch, but there was no bottled water provided—only a hallway cooler. The bedding was a bit frustrating due to the lack of fitted sheets, and one of the mattresses (in the double room) was uncomfortably springy. Lastly, for a beachfront property, the views were a bit underwhelming, as all balconies face inward with only a limited ocean view.

Location and pool area

The hotel is tired - the bedrooms and bathrooms basic. Shower old and temp fluctuated. This is only a 4 star because it ticks the boxes, in Europe it would be a 3 star. Staff were not accommodating with an early arrival. Hotel was full of Chilean families . Breakfast was basic. All in all not bad but not good either.

Hotel Club La Serena is an excellent location, across the street you can go to the beach and you are quite near to the center of the city. The room was huge and had a nice sea view. The parking is located very near to the rooms. The Hotel Club has a nice pool and a very good restaurant, breakfast was good and the waiters were very friendly. The price is very reasonable, high value for money. The garden is very well kept.

The maintenance of the buildings is not so good, the number of our room was missing, a window in the restaurant was broken, but nobody seems to care for these "details". A pity, because it could be a 10 points hotel. Also the Wifi in the room was weak (was good in restaurant and reception

The location at the beach, very comfortable beds.

It wasn’t very clean (dirty sheets when we arrived), dusty surfaces etc. it’s very outdated, could use a touch up to arrive in 2025

Location on the strip is great. Across the street from a beach service with chairs (drinks and food too!), and you don’t need to walk far for good restaurants.While the property is dated, it is very clean with well kept grounds. The pool area is nice to relax in and the pool bar very convenient. The staff were all very delightful.

Position near the sea and not far from La Serena historical center. Hotel maids very kind.

This is a 4 star rated hotel. Although is in good place and nice pool and garden is there, rooms are really, really, really old fornitured and need a renew. Services in rooms are VERY basic as in the restaurant. No air conditioning. Small rooms. Helpdesk is not managed in person (only for checkin and checkout). When you arrive you are instructed (if not warned) to use only watsapp to extend requests or call reception, not professional.

Hotel itself was run down and dirty. Hasn’t had a renovation since the 80s. Last paint job looks like it was done by a blind ape.
