I was not expecting 5 star accommodation for a Backpackers but this place cannot be classified as any type of paid accommodation. I literally walked out as soon as I saw the place and drove all the way home in the middle of the night instead of sleeping there. If you're looking for an affordable and comfortable place to stay, this is not it! The owner should be ashamed of himself for charging any type of money for this place. It was more like a half way house than a Backpackers.

The location was what we needed, close to Val de Vie for our installers to stay at.
The room was in a terrible state and not at all as advertised.The kitchen was filthy.The bedding was filthy and stained.Everything was substandard to what we expected.
Once again, our stay was wonderful, thanks to our Host, André. Great location... lovely accommodation... spacious rooms... comfortable beds... overall great atmosphere at Paarl Backpackers. We Look forward to future visits.
