Excellent customer service. Almost the way from the reception, the housekeeping, the restaurant, everyone was excellent.
Hotel provided both Golf cart Shuttle to get down the bridge and a minibus shuttle that will go near the Hyatt regency, there was an elevator that will take you to haram level C1 near "I love Makkah" sign behind Dar al Taqwa. This will take to gate 79.
The best view of the holy haram and walkable distance with the golf cart easily available all the time

Good room size, access to Haram via dedicated bus route, staff service
Very good price.
Few staff who worked in the restaurant and the bellman were the only good folks who were good and helpful.

One of the BEST Hiltons I’ve stayed at (and I’ve stayed at many, even after Turkey). Staff went ABOVE AND BEYOND — were exceptional. I even knew them by name. Solo trip & felt completely safe — 5000/10.

The location is a good and easy way to get around.
Do not stay here if you don¿t speak Arabic. It¿s very safe but the locals will not assist anyone who doesn¿t speak Arabic in this area.

Location, its located at 3-minute walk to Haram Gate #79 which takes us directly to the Mataf. Hotel is divided into two towers with 6 elevators for each side. We never had to wait for the elevator.

Top Tips
- Book your Mecca hotel 6-12 months in advance for Hajj or Ramadan, as rates can surge 200-400% for last-minute stays. Many international chains offer early-booking windows and flexible cancellation, helping you manage risk.
- Select a hotel within 500 meters of Masjid al-Haram to save over 30 minutes walking per prayer, which is especially valuable for elders or those with mobility needs. Confirm accessible room options at the time of booking.
- Choose hotels with official Ministry of Hajj accreditation to avoid risk of eviction during inspections. Top hotel brands in Mecca typically display their license at reception, so ask staff to verify upon check-in if unsure.
- Plan for an extra 15-25% service charge and 5% VAT on all hotel stays in Mecca. Major international hotels detail these amounts in booking breakdowns and invoices, so review your confirmation for full cost transparency.
- Check elevator redundancy and capacity before arrival, as older properties may have 4-6 elevator outages weekly in peak seasons. Many newer towers near the Haram are designed with multiple elevators and accessible controls.
- Keep valuables in hotel safes during Hajj and peak events, since reported loss rates from pickpocketing in crowded areas are 5-10%. Many leading hotels offer complimentary in-room safes for added security.
- Request to pay in Saudi Riyals (SAR) for card payments at check-in to avoid 3-7% Dynamic Currency Conversion markups. Major chains accommodate SAR transactions; verify preferred currency selection before authorizing charges.
- Carry a portable fan or power bank during summer stays, as temperatures can reach 45°C (113°F) and some budget accommodations may experience brief blackouts. Premium hotels typically feature backup power and reliable climate control.
- Pre-pay for non-refundable rates via major booking sites to save 20-30%. If booking through trusted OTAs with clear cancellation windows, this offers value with minimal risk; review timing and terms before payment.
- Request a rear-facing room if your hotel is near Ibrahim Khalil Road, where construction causes noise from 7:00 to 22:00. Key hotel brands offer floorplans on request; ask about quieter room locations if sensitive to noise.
- Use local prepaid SIM cards from STC, Mobily, or Zain for 18-25 Mbps mobile data, as hotel Wi-Fi near Masjid al-Haram may slow to 3-6 Mbps during busy periods. Top-brand hotel lobbies often offer business centers or dedicated high-speed Wi-Fi for guests.
- Confirm hot water availability in winter (November-February), since some budget hotels may experience periodic shortages. Most international chains maintain continuous hot water; ask the front desk about recent service history if concerned.
- Pick hotels with dedicated interior prayer halls to reduce hallway noise, as properties with such spaces reduce early morning guest movement by about 40%. Ask about prayer facilities at booking, as most major hotels highlight them in amenities lists.
- Bring a Nafc water bottle for July-August heat, when outdoor temperatures exceed 45°C (113°F). Free refill stations are not always available outside Masjid al-Haram, and hotel concierge desks often provide local water access tips.
- Avoid street-facing rooms above the 12th floor in towers near Abraj Al-Bait, as nighttime noise levels from the adhan and crowd movement often exceed 75 dB. Leading hotels will note noise exposure in room descriptions, so confirm before booking if sensitive.
- Verify your hotel reports stays via Absher for visa-linked registration, as local law requires reporting to authorities within two hours of check-in. Major hotel chains in Mecca are fully integrated; confirm registration was submitted at time of arrival.
