Breakfast quality can be better if we have some staff to serve the food instead of letting everyone touch the serving spoonLocation is good but there is a small mountain to reach the hotel the way back from the haram

    The staff and the location

The hotel was not willing to waive fees to cancel and was quite difficult.

The room was very spacious! And it was very nice!

Some maintenance needed to be done in the bathroom (some leakage was happening from the ceiling and the sink was clogged)

    9AbdullahPosted on: 1-8-2026

The main reason I booked this hotel was its close proximity to the Holy Mosque. Although the pedestrian ramp was closed due to the mosque’s expansion works (which was not the hotel’s fault), I still appreciated the hotel overall. The reception staff were professional and welcoming, the rooms were clean and well maintained, and housekeeping and room service were consistently good. I also liked the pleasant fragrances in the lobby and the overall cleanliness and comfort of the hotel.

I am not entirely sure whether this issue falls fully under the hotel’s responsibility, but it was a very difficult and stressful experience for us. Our checkout was scheduled for Friday at 12:00 PM. However, from around 9:00 AM onwards, all roads leading to and from the hotel were completely blocked due to Friday prayers, with access reopening only around 2:00–3:00 PM.This meant my wife and I were unable to leave the hotel by vehicle. In extreme heat around midday, we had to walk approximately 2–3 km with heavy luggage to reach a taxi pickup point in order to catch our pre-booked train. This was physically exhausting and extremely frustrating. Despite explaining our situation and pleading for a few hours of late checkout so we could leave after prayers, this request was not accommodated.Another major inconvenience related to the hotel’s location is that ride-share services such as Uber or Careem, as well as food delivery services like HungerStation, are not permitted due to government restrictions. This required walking long distances multiple times a day for meals unless opting for expensive in-room dining or the hotel buffet. While I understand these restrictions are not the hotel’s fault, they significantly affected our stay. Most importantly, this Friday checkout situation should be clearly communicated to guests in advance, either at the time of booking or prior to arrival. Guests should be informed that all roads will be closed between approximately 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM on Fridays and advised to plan accordingly—either to depart before 9:00 AM or after 3:00 PM—with the option of a late checkout being arranged. We were completely unaware of this issue until Friday itself and were genuinely shocked by the situation. Better communication could have avoided this major inconvenience entirely.
