Ancient Hue Garden Houses

Absolutely beautiful property and so peaceful. Our best stay in Vietnam! We like to choose boutique hotels or uniqie accommodations with character. Our suite was large, beautifully appointed and quiet. Breakfast was delicious and generous. During our stay we ate lunch at the restaurant - some of the best beef noodle soup! The staff made sure we had everything we needed throughput our stay, including storing our luggage since we had a late flight, and providing a place to change clothes and clean up following our post check out sightseeing. The afternoon tea was such a great touch. Since we still had extra time before our airport transfer, we enjoyed a massage in the spa. All and all an excellent stay. A definite choice when we return to Hue!

The hotel is truly beautiful with a wonderful atmosphere. The staff are excellent—very attentive and friendly. They welcomed us warmly and made us feel very comfortable. The receptionist Nhung and the hotel manager were especially kind and helpful. We would like to thank them all

1.The hotel rooms are extremely poorly soundproofed. You can hear suitcase noises, people talking, and doors opening and closing very clearly inside your room. There is nothing they can do about this because it is due to the structure of the hotel itself.2.The hotel restaurant has very strange rules. Water is not served with any meal because it is charged separately. In my opinion, this is very strange and even ridiculous. We attended the New Year’s Eve dinner and paid 6 million VND for 4 people. Wine was included in the dinner, but water was not. If you do not drink wine and choose to drink water instead, you still have to pay extra. They even provide free water in the rooms, but charge for water in the restaurant — which is quite laughable.3.At breakfast, everything you eat and drink is free except water. However, even if only 5 minutes pass after you leave the breakfast area, coffee becomes chargeable. Water is charged everywhere except in your room ?4.A hair came out of the sandwich I ordered. But this was not a major issue for me.This hotel does not even deserve this rating. I am only giving this score because of the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff.

The quality of finishing in the rooms were exceptionally good - solid wood, beautiful tiles and a gorgeous looking bathroom with Kohler fixtures. The outdoor shower looked wonderful although I did not get a chance to use it as the weather was not helpful.The breakfast was another plus for me. I love the fact that each serving was just slightly more than bite size, and we were able to order something else to try. The small bottles of homemade yogurt deserves a special mention here!The staff were wonderful and quick to respond to issues and queries. Very friendly people!

Room 10 didn't have a proper towel rack. Instead it had a towel hook in the toilet section which I thought was not the best location to hang a bath towel. I think the hotel might consider putting up a proper towel rack, enough to hang two towels, in the location above the bath tub. A proper towel rack would enable bath towels to dry faster and a daily change in towels would not have been necessary.

Authentic experience of the bygone days. Beautiful grounds and gardens made it feel like an oasis. Very friendly, helpful and truly caring staff made us feel like queens and kings.

The rooms are very clean. The decorations are topnotch and it captures both french and vietnamese culture. The hallways feels like something out of a Vietnamese castle or royalty.The staff cares so much about the residents. The food is extremely good. One of the best I have eaten in Vietnam if not the best

Amazing hotel minutes away from the attractions in Hue. The setting is beautiful - lush gardens, multiple pools to enjoy after a hot day sightseeing. The onsite restaurants were good for both breakfast and dinner. The staff helped us organize 2 tours as well. In addition to being a great place to stay for visiting the city, this hotel was a great place to relax!

I spent one week here which was considered long stay so the staff upgraded my room and offered me additional benefits (discount on F&B, afternoon tea, 60min massage, etc..). My room was lovely and spacious, clean, overlooking the pool and French restaurant. The property as a whole is gorgeous, lush, full of plants, trees, flowers (the photos on Booking.com are correct). You can smell the jasmine walking through the property. Everything was tastefully and beautifully decorated. Breakfast can be served in room or at the restaurant with many options. The hotel also noted my birthday and presented me with a cake! I ate in the Vietnamese restaurant twice and food quality is good if you're too tired/lazy to venture outside. All of the staff are wonderful and super courteous. Always greeting you when they see you on the grounds. My experience was exceptional from check in to departure. I wanted to give a special shout to the young blonde gentleman bartender! I saw he served another client some dried squid with beer one night (one of my favorite Vietnamese beer snack). I looked it up on the bar menu but it wasn't listed. He said he brought it to the client since he was having a beer. The next night when I returned, he remembered and offered me some :)The property sits on a quiet side street with a tributary/canal running along. You can take walks or see people fishing. The property and grounds are not expansive but it felt large and was extremely quiet and peaceful. There is a security gentleman at the gate 24/7. There are bicycles for guest use so I took advantage of that.

Everything was great except for the rooster? or frog that croaks/crows every morning. The property sits on a quiet side street and at night, there are no lights. This was initially daunting for me but I was reassured that Hue is very safe.

This is probably the fanciest hotel I've ever stayed at. Considering hotel costs in Vietnam, I decided to splurge in one of the big traditional rooms. The room was beyond any expectations. Outdoor bath tub, traditional decor is surreal. The location is great, short (free) bike ride to the citadel. Quiet area. Staff is really friendly. The breakfast is amazing, the restaurant itself, the food, the passion fruit juice is to die for!

It's a upscale place so food at the restaurant is very expensive if compared to local restaurants in town.

What a truly fabulous hotel The room.was absolutely stunning and immaculately clean. There was absolutely nothing to complain about.This is a quiet tranquil and peaceful hotel / accommodation. The grounds are exceptionally well maintained giving a very relaxed feel.The staff were exceptional so polite friendly and helpful we cannot fault them at all.

The most beautiful boutique hotel in Hue. We stayed at one of their friend villas because the historic traditional Vietnamese homes were under construction. The design of the entire facility is tasteful, and staff are really friendly. There's also an afternoon tea and room cleaning.

The food and spa could have been better.

This is a gorgeous piece, somewhere of peace and tranquility. The gardens are lovely and the scent of jasmine hangs in the air.Our suite was beautiful and very well appointed.All of the staff were kind and helpful..We travel a great deal, this hotel is very special!

Just a little warning- the main restaurant is up a flight of stairs- this would be difficult for anyone with some mobility issues.

I didn’t realise when booking how far out from the heart of Hue this was, although a grab (taxi) was only 15 mins and 67,000 vnd.

We had a wonderful one-night stay! The two pools offered different but equally relaxing vibes, perfect for the heat. Our room was set in a stunning location. Breakfast was à la carte — not quite what we expected, but still good. The spa was a real treat. The staff were very accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. A bit outside the city, but peaceful and easy to reach by taxi. I’d happily recommend this hotel

We loved this place - so peaceful and relaxing. Villa 19 was perfect, right near the main pool. The location and facilities are outstanding. The restaurant is simply amazing. Would stay there again without hesitation. Could not work out the Pilates beds at the gym (really needed some instructions) but enjoyed tue workouts anyway!

A couple of minor points. The room fridge bar was not topped up and the manicure at the hotel spa was not up to standard - however the hotel tried their best to rectify.

It was one of the most beautiful tranquil places we’ve ever stayed. The room was incredible. It was huge and so beautifully decorated. The restaurant and spa were lovely too. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The location is in a quiet area which is lovely to walk around, but it’s a longer walk or a quick taxi ride to other parts of Hue.
