Pros +
- The Hue Ecolodge was a lovely property with a couple dozen buildings. Due to the size of the property it does not seem crowded even at peak times. The service was great and the rooms were very clean and had all the basic amenities you would expect. While it is outside of Hue, the main attractions of the city are easily accessible by Grab/taxi within 15-20 minutes. We had no issue getting Grabs quickly but the Hotel staff can call a taxi for you. They offer a solid breakfast with Vietnamese and Western options. There are many bikes (sizes for heights upto ~195cm) and they were always available. You can tell they are putting lots of effort into maintaining the property as a few months ago there was a major flood from the river, however it did not impact our stay at all; you can only see some minor damage now (ie. Banana trees).
- Beautiful oasis, quiet, on the river!Good including breakfast, friendly staffs.
- Warm, friendly people, beautiful scenery, so peaceful here. The food is delicious. We were lucky to have this experience
Cons -
- The only issue with the location is that for food you are reliant on the hotel unless you head into the city. The hotel's food was food when we had it, but more expensive than other restaurants.
- I like to see free Wi-fi put in password.
- Weak Air Conditioning: While the room was spacious, the air conditioning unit struggled to keep the entire space cool, especially during the hottest parts of the day. It was a bit weak for the size of the room.Location: The main drawback is its location. The ecolodge is quite far from the city center and the main attractions. While this ensures peace and quiet, it also means you have to rely on a taxi or ride-hailing service for every trip, which can be inconvenient.

My stay at Hue Ecolodge was a very relaxing experience, offering a true escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. The property is beautiful and serene, perfect for those looking to unwind. While it was mostly a wonderful stay, there are a couple of points for future guests to consider. Here ís what we loved:The Swimming Pool: The pool was the absolute highlight of our stay. It was clean, well-maintained, and set in a beautiful, green environment. It was the perfect place to relax and escape the Hue heat.Lush, Green Space: The entire property is like a large, airy garden. The grounds are spacious and well-kept, creating a very cool and peaceful atmosphere that we really enjoyed.Spacious Room: Our room was impressively large and airy, with plenty of space to feel comfortable.Delicious Breakfast: The breakfast offered a great start to the day with a variety of tasty and high-quality options.

Everything was amazing. Staff went out of their way to help you and in particular the staff in the restaurant. They were faultless, remembering small details and ensuring that each meal was perfect. Great to have access to the free bikes to get around, especially because the roads and paths near to the lodge are quiet. The room was great; comfortable and spacious. We will definitely return next time we are in Hue
The only thing that could be improved is the number of sun beds. The pool is so great that often all the sun beds are taken
Very peaceful. Free bicycles. Access to a pool. Very comfortable space. Loved the balcony.
The pool was very warm and not enjoyable
Set in beautiful gardens 5 km outside the centre of Hue, the property has plenty of cycles available for guests free of charge. So a trip into the centre is an easy ride. The food is excellent use the Set menu rather than the a-la-carte. The portions are generous, so if you go off piste with the menu careful not to over order. The pool is one of the best we had on our trip.
Staff are so lovely and helpful! The place is beautiful and so peaceful, a lovely respite from travelling through cities. The pool is lovely and clean, sunbeds are comfy. Rooms are large and comfortable. Good options for the breakfast and paid meals. I did not want to leave!
It is out of the way but the staff at reception were happy to book me a taxi into the city/train station.
We stayed a family of five (small kids) for four nights at the Eco Lodge in April. We found our stay very pleasant and recommendable. The staff where nice and welcommng. The accommodation were neat, clean and equiped to basic needs. The surroundings at the Lodge were very beautiful and tranquil with pomelo trees, flowers and access to the perfume river. The staff arranged a nice boat trip on the river to the Imperial City for us. Approx. 1-2 hours trip. The kids liked the big pool and to catch butterflies, insects and lizards. There’s a restaurant with food at the Lodge with kind staff to accomendate needs. Though the food scene in Hue City is hard to compete with. The drive to Hue city center is approx. 15 minutes. A visit to the open air Mausoleum of Emperor Tu Duc is recommendable which is also 15 minutes from the Lodge.
Excellent breakfast.
A little bit far from the city center. The bar was under construction.
Located in a pomelo orchard ( nice perfume in the air), everything was wonderful ! Staff was nice and helpful, the food was very good.
There could have been more sunbeds around the pool.
Amazing room in beautiful setting. Outdoor shower, bath tub and surrounded by greenery and flowers. We wished we could stay longer. Pool was lovely too. Made use of free bicycles.
Location is slightly out of Hue centre. We were happy to take bikes to the city but it may be inconvinient for others.
Beautiful garden, nice pool, bikes
Real ecoldge. Eevery small detail was well thought and decorated.clean. big. Beautiful room.clean shower and toilet. Perfect buffe breakfast.
They charged us more than twice for a very basic motorbike.
The pool is so pretty, we took a lot of photos around the pool, the water was super clean. it was a bit cold on the day, but my wife did swim a few rounds. The environment is very quiet and the breakfast is so delicious and I love the fruit too. Mr Thang who is such a nice person , he helped us with every thing, took our luggage to the room, took photos for us. Thankyou Mr Thang.
We would love to have a lamp for the desk
Food was consistently excellent. All staff very kind, pleasant and attentive. We enjoyed meeting Vnh very much. He represents your organization well.
We loved everything!
Beautiful hotel if you want to stay away from the business and near nature. The restaurant staff was great
The staff at the reception could have been more helpful to suggest itineraries and visits. The pool is not heated. If you stay when it’s raining you will be bored
Great quiet spot away from the city. I wished it'd be closer for my work meeting but everything was great otherwise. The humidity in Hue this time of year is very high and it could feel stuffy sometimes. I suggested them to have some types of dehumidifiers (maybe salt) in the rooms, esp. the bathrooms to avoid molds on their ceilings
a bit far from centre, but the city is building more bridges, so it shouldn't be a problem.
The atmosphere was serene and offers peace and tranquality. Staffs were friendly and a huge shout out to Mr Thang for being so helpful and able to speak English was a plus point. Excellent breakfast and a la carte meals were yummy too..
Though grab service response is poor, we managed to get taxi with the help from the front office who were very helpful
Our best hotel stay n Vietnam without question despite rainy weather. Built with natural materials and they make an effort to avoid plastic materials. For instance the bathtub was stylishly made of wood.
The only small downside of the stay was that the resort is a ten minute drive from the city centre. On the other side it was very quiet and peaceful at the hotel ground.
