We loved this stay! Location by the Citadel was, we think, better than across the river in the city center. Onsite breakfast was a 10/10! The staff was amazing and very helpful including helping us find a driver for visiting the royal tombs outside of town. We also enjoyed dinner at the restaurant - amazing setting and service and food.

Very cosy place, clean and very equipped. Authentic Vietnamese furniture and look of the hotel gives it a special charm. Great stuff, amazing massage. Breakfat was amazing. Too bad I was there for only 2 nights.

The building and rooms are beautiful and peaceful. The location, on the citadel side of the river, and within walking distance of places to eat, was excellent. The reception desk invited us to sit and drink ginger tea when we arrived. The breakfast was excellent. The rooms were clean. The staff are helpful.

The room had a mildew smell that was alleviated by the dehumidifier running in the room, but if the power was off while we were away, as is common for Vietnamese hotel rooms, the smell returned. Credit to them for having a dehumidifier. If they flooded in November, they’ve done good recovery work.

Great location, right next to the citadel and in a very quiet part of town. this is a historic building as it was the old hospital for the palace so is a beautiful building and the rooms had alot of history although they have been modernised and the comfort levels are 5star.

Everything was great

Very nicely decorated hotel with a great swimming pool. Close to the forbidden city. The city center is 20 min away walking with a nice view on the river when crossing the bridge.

Beautiful hotel, great location so close to the imperial city!

A bit noisy at night with guests slamming doors and sitting next to the pool chatting.

Friendly and supportive staffs. Best location next to the Old Palace. Excellent foods.

very clean and comfortable. Service is exceptional. I had to check out at 5am and the hotel offered take away breakfast. I feel very welcome. Location is great, can ride a bike in the old quarter street. Very pleasant experience. Will come back

The hotel used to be the health care agency for royal family. The vibe is unique. It's very historic and culturalist. Of course since it's an old place, I don't really expect much on the facilities, but it's good enough. The place is closed to the palace.

It's not soundproof. It's kinda noisy during my stay as they are cleaning or fixing around the building.

Although opposite the Royal Palace in a quite part of the city it is quite a way to downtown where good restaurants are available, about a 40 minute walk.

Great location next door to Imperial Palace on quieter side of the river. Attentive staff, free bikes to hire, beautiful big clean pool and lush gardens. Food terrific at restaurant- be sure to ask for the Vietnamese menu for best value local food. Breakfast excellent!!! Vietnamese and European breakfast!

Bathroom a tad on the smaller side and a bit difficult to keep dry.

Location was excellent, next to Walls of Imperial City. The room was large, the swimming pool was great and the bar and restaurant were both very good.The rooms could do with both comfortabe chairs and more outside space. Small points, but both would make a big difference.

Good location. Food OK. Price cheap.

Bathroom way too small, n shower curtain making taking a shower difficult without flooding room. Only hand shower. Bath not big enough for adult to sit in. No hand towels. Taps difficult to turn on & off. Toilet did not flush until we called reception cold water needed turning on. Bed had 2 mattresses going across making it uncomfortable with gap. Staff had poor understanding of English. Bottled water was not replenished. Patio doors to room did not fully close.

Staff very nice, professional and efficient. Strategic location near the Cittadelle.
